Why Modi should win 2024? And why any Deve Gowda or Manmohan 'type' Prime Minister will spoil 'Bharat' show ?

Now that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come out triumphant from the G20 Delhi Summit, Congress intellectuals and their 'sickular' ecosystem will again get busy to find a new loophole ! Some of their Rajya Sabha 'intellectuals' will claim that the country's growth story is inevitable. They will also say G20 Success is due to foreign ministry officials/ the Babudom and even under S M Krishna, India would have come out with flying colours.

And under Salman Khurshied, well, the India's G20 guests-list would have included Pakistan. There would have been a India-Pakistan Summit on the sidelines and there would have been Urdu Shayeri show to entertain Joe Biden.

All that was possible in Nehruvian's minority-appeasing India. Bharat is different; and even without inborn intellectual leaders - Team Modi has pulled a success.

Leftists may endorse Global Times !!

Now, the best way to derail what has been achieved in last nine years and as demonstrated in G20 would be to make leaders like H D Deve Gowda or Manmohan Singh the prime minister. Left to Delhi's jugadu club -- a character well known to IIC/Habitat Centre material like I K Gujral would have been the best.

Gujral announced ceasefire and allowed so-called Naga talks even without meeting the Naga militant leaders. And hence, even up to this day, there is a mess with the demands for a separate Flag and Constitution. Only an esteemed regular visitor to IIC and Habitat centre can opt for such ceasefires. Remember their efficiency in 'grating' statehood to Telangana ! Both the provinces burnt for days.

Compared to that the Vajpayee government created three new states and things were peaceful. Even a belligerent Lalu Prasad could not create problems even as he had taken a stance once that the 'division' of Bihar was possible only over his body.

Now, there are a few issues. Just a mere success in G20 and India's economic ranking 5th as of now after US, China, Japan and Germany ---- what does it mean? Is India under namo already in a neo-power show?

No, not yet. Power in international geo-politics is more complicated than mere economic growth trajectory or even military prowess. Experts say 'power' in international stage is linked to 'agenda setting capacity'. This is also called persuasive diplomacy and this is where India has 'succeeded' !! Give Modi - the credit he deserves.

The US has played this role of 'agenda setting' no doubt for many years. 'Power' for a nation like India will be also linked to this -- set agenda for world's broad benefits.

India has that 'agenda' setting ideas and capacity; while in contrast -- no body believes China. Its bullying nature and its debt trap politics is now well known. therefore, post-G20 if there is talk about Global South ---- this world will feel the magnetic attraction towards Namo, his Bharat and his Moditva phenomenon.

Compared to India or for that matter even the US. China is generally known for being focused on enhancing the Chinese power. Over the last few years, this has only increased further. From a communist, one-party dictator, China in 2022-23 has moved towards one-man dictatorship.

Come what may; internationally -- India is still a strong democracy with his chaotic media, belligerent opposition parties and much respected judiciary.

The Congress party has called 'the inevitability' of India's growth graph; -- yeh toh hona hee tha !! In contrast the BJP has an argument that the last few years growth and resilience despite Covid and general global crisis is --- decisive political leadership and also people's mandate vis-a-vis political stability.

India's grand old party either has no idea on how things move. Or they are being economical with truth. Japan has experienced four decades of heavy/robust economic growth, but in terms of global influence -- Japan is not among the great influencers!

In comparison, India has done its part. Reform has been carried out successfully even prior to 2014. Of course 1991 comes in. But much was done even under Dr Manmohan Singh when especially the then PM showed his grit and went ahead with the Indo-US nuke deal.
