'Sanatan roots and Rising Bharat' ::: Ill-fated SICKULARISTS are faced with REALITY --- Did they presume 'Bharat' an ancient entity?

"Lord Karishna is believed to be the ultimate wise scion of ages. Happy Birthday, Murli Manohar," came a lovely Facebook message from Syed Mohsin Raza, a journalist in Pakistan. A lovely missive on the occasion of Janmashtami from a Muslim and that a Pakistani.

I responded saying, "Krishna is eternal...Krishna was the greatest 'ambassador' of peace....but he too could not avoid war !" A few minutes later I was put on track to write this piece of blog. A blog is a new century IT revolution phenomenon. It's 'declaration' of someone's (that is the blogger's) mind -- perhaps without being a Liberation. Pause for a while and one is tied to so many things in life and society. Our country is now set to get back its Hindutva-variant name 'Bharat'.

The Constitution of India ... says 'India, that is Bharat...'. So there is nothing new about it. But these are changing times. These are the times when Dipawali is celebrated in the west with gaiety. Yoga is a lifestyle statement and much applauded -- either with Surya Namaskar or without it. India's 'sick' community is smitten by SICKULARISM.

They are also ill-fated. All these things are happening when someone called Narendra Damodardas Modi is at the helm. There is no end to their frustration because they forgot politics in last nine years; they discovered a system when Quiz Masters became parliamentary experts !

In their over enthusiasm, they hyped 'Manipur violence' and sought to make it a yardstick to suggest that the Double Engine governments fail everywhere. Someone else, he will emerge bigger if reports against business tycoon Adani is timed well with the Mumbai show. The efforts -- being, 'look I am the natural leader, because I was born in a dynasty and I have a dotting mom'.

All three set-ups do not inspire Indians. The reasons are based on textual, contextual and historical evidences and theories.

'Rising Bharat with Sanatan roots' is the game played by the other side. Both these tools have been handed over to Modi and the BJP by the sickular gang only. In Bengaluru, 'intellectuals' of dot/dot alliance met and gave themselves a new name 'I.N.D.I.A'. A childish line is still being circulated that Modi is scared of being against 'I.N.D.I.A'. Wish the politics is decided in mom's lap or Quiz Masters' TV shows !!

Now it comes to 'revisiting Itihas (History)'

Perhaps Itihas/also referred as Itihasa is something more than history as the western philosophy would lay emphasis.

In Sanskrit, 'Sanatana Dharma' can be translated as "eternal law" or even the "eternal way of life."

In Pali, the equivalent term is Dhammo Sanātano. Renaming  of Bharat does not only signify a political decision. It is seen by many proponents as the right effort to retrieve 'Itihasa (that may include Vedas and Puranas) from the dominance of History as is understood and rather pushed by the western school of knowledge. That way, experts such as Dr Sharad Hebalkar had said the Hindu history is rooted in the manifestation of Dharma.

Comes yet again an important facet. Dharma is not the so called organised religion.

A person's Dharma consists of duties that sustain them according to their innate characteristics which are both spiritual and material. Dharma can be called a "duty", and if its a "religion", it is a  "religious duty".

That's why so much importance is given to the phrase 'Raj Dharma' (meaning duties of a ruler or a king). The emphasis is he should not only dispense justice. His actions should symbolise something as if he is performing a religious duty. The SACREDNESS is thus very important.

Hindu scholars would say to understand the 'Hindu live' of the History; one has to appreciate the power or utility of Cosmic power. Say the Karma philosophy. Today, even western scholars appreciate this aspect.

The 'results' of Karma could not be proved in a scientific laboratory maybe; a wrongdoer might escape 'unpunished', yet now believe is the cycle of Karma. In other words, everything cannot be proved in a laboratory.

How do you prove the 'love' between a sister and her brother in a lab? That's even maybe called the animal instinct.

In Mayur Vihar, East Delhi, morning walkers are often recording video shoot of a young monkey constantly playing with a street dog. Who defined their love or attraction? These tales are not being told for the first time.

Now comes more realistic part? The Sikh history is not ancient history. It says Guru Nanak had visited Ayodhya's Ram temple.

The Supreme Court in its Nov 9, 2019 judgement said - 'Janma Sakhies', which have been brought on record contains a description of visit of Guru Nanak Devji to Ayodhya, where he had darshan of birthplace of Lord Ram.

The court said there is no material to identify the exact place of Ram Janmabhoomi but the visit of Guru Nanak to Ayodhya 'depicted that pilgrims were visiting there even before 1528 A.D'. This is just a reference.

The argument of the academicians associated with the 'Indian Hindu history', say Puranas, Ramayana and Mahabharata were the 'text books' of Bharateeya history up to 18th century.

However, the European historians stamped the vast literary sources of Bharateeya history as myth. It was with a purpose. The Christian propaganda campaign lobby worked in that. The periods of Bharateeya history was dubbed as 'ancient period starting from Alexander's invasion in the 4th century BCE'. Then they called the period under Muslim domination as 'medieval' period starting from 13th century CE; and obviously they decided to call the advent of British as modern.

  1. I agree with all the points raised In the blog. More than the British-led by Lord Mcauley's idea of modern education system it were the so- called educationists installed by the first prime minister JLN (Nehru) after independence who destroyed the History of 'Bharatvarsh' the madarsa-bred first education minister of India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad worked on the directions of Nehru getting history written the way he wanted because JLN considered himself more British than Indian. The marauding mughals became great, British were portrayed as the one who tried to culture us backward Indians. Our Vedas are resplendent with mention of this part of land as Bharat named after the son of king Dushyant.
That the Abrahamic religions, specially Islam is non-tolerant towards non-believers is the root cause of the problem. It is a undocumented history that Bakhtiyar Khilji once suffered from some incurable disease. Every Unani medication was given but he couldn't recover. He ordered his prime minister to find a solution. Upon enquiry it was found that there is place in Bharat--- where he could be treated fully and properly.
That was Nalanda. He decided to come down to Nalanda with his huge force.
The ever receptive monks who studied at Nalanda treated him with Ayurvedic medicine. Bakhtiyar got better. And he wanted to know how it was done when he was told about Ayurveda and that there are books which teach much more than medicine but about dharma. Bakhtiyar was furious because he couldn't take it that there could be anything better than Quran. He ordered his troops to burn down Nalanda library containing thousands of books and scriptures painstakingly written and preserved. It is said that the library was so huge and had so many books stored in it that it burned for three months.😥😥 the travesty of the situation is that today if you have to go to Nalanda you news to get down at Bakhtiyarpur station, the city named after the same invader who couldn't digest that there could be more effective treatment procedures than what is Unani medication. No doubt the city was named after him by the succeeding Mughal rulers it was Congress, which stamped its approval over the last over 70 years it ruled the country. Now that this government is taking bold and admirable steps towards shedding any bits that signify colonisation, why is the Congress crying foul - Kat Patil, Pune
