The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided that the Free Movement Regime (FMR) between India and Myanmar be scrapped to ensure the internal security of the country and to maintain the demographic structure of India’s North Eastern States bordering Myanmar.
Since the Ministry of External Affairs is currently in the process of scrapping it, MHA has recommended the immediate suspension of the FMR." - Shah

PM Narendra Modi, while acknowledging Manmohan Singh's work as an MP, recalled how he did not stop serving the country when he was in a wheelchair. Last year Dr Singh came to vote against the Delhi Bill.
"Dr Manmohan Singh made a big contribution as members and as Leader of the Opposition and also as the Leader of the House," Modi said. "Ideological differences and oneupmanship between members of Parliament is only a brief and temporary phase...but he will always be remembered very fondly when people will discuss India's parliamentary democracy".
