Modi may be all set to come for third time, India may emerge as No. 3 Economy: But this country's doom lies in politics of appeasement, Quota politics and sheer blackmailing

India may be Bharat. Some may call it 'new India'.

It may be a strong global power economically and strategically an important partner to Russia-China bloc to the G-20 or a key friend to the US; but this country's doom lies in the politics of appeasement, Quota politics and sheer blackmailing.

This is not new India -- where traders and middlemen pretend to be farmers, stay away from fields and blackmail a poll-bound PM and his government. This cant't be the Bharat where Quota politics even force Shiv Sena-BJP allow Maratha reservation. This should not be an India where 'know all' Bong intellectuals rejoicing indoors as Sandeshkhali women complain torture by a Neta who in turn is a confidant of a woman Chief Minister.

SHAME !!

Maratha reservation bill for 10% quota cleared by Maharashtra Assembly

The bill providing 10 per cent reservation for the Maratha community in education and government jobs was unanimously passed by the Maharashtra Assembly.

The Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday cleared the Maratha Reservation Bill under which the community will get a 10 per cent reservation in education and government jobs. The bill was passed minutes after being tabled in the special Assembly session by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

The Maharashtra State Socially and Educationally Backward Bill 2024 was passed unanimously, with only minister Chhagan Bhujbal, of the Nationalist Congress Party, objecting to the legislation. Bhujbal has been opposing the reservation for Marathas under the OBC quota.
