Time to wake up, Mr Shurhozelie:: Konyak Union threatens to 'expel' those filing nomination: NPAC diagnoses malady

The NSCN statement issued on Wednesday, Jan 18, negates the Jan 14 so called joint statement and pledged to work together stuff !!

"We expect all the right thinking groups or individuals to become transparent and be bold enough to spell out what one stands for without camouflage  If one is for solution say so, whereas if the other is against solution, be open without inhibition." -- NPAC takes the battle into the right 'camp'.... which has been absolutely wrong !!

(on 8 groups statement....almost taking dictations from NDPP).

Time to wake up, Mr Shurhozelie (as promised in Aug 2022) and also NDPP president Chingwang Konyak .... I know both of you better !!

Shurhozelie

The Nagaland People's Action Committee further stated:

"Whereas, the Resolution No. 2 of the 8 Tribal Hohos in particular is found to be primitive. Be it the Tribal Hohos or any facilitator, if one has positive attitude, no punctuation is supposed to be interjected directly or indirectly so as to upset the progress of the development.

Tribals Hoho Resolution of Jan 17

We expect all the right thinking groups or individuals to become transparent and be bold enough to spell out what one stands for without camouflage  If one is for solution say so, whereas if the other is against solution, be open without inhibition.

The NPAC makes it clear to the citizens in Nagaland in particular that we have to keep the records clear at whose behest the solution is sabotaged, after all what is important to the Nagas than the political solution. The NPAC remains committed to give its unflinching support to any group or organisation working for pragmatic solution.

Chingwang: Blessing 'power hungry'

The Konyak Union has threatened to "permanently expel" those individuals filing nominations to participate in the ensuing assembly elections.

As per the schedule announced by EC on Wednesday, Jan 18,  Nagaland goes to voting on Feb 27.

On the other hand, the NSCN-IM supposedly pleased with announcement of polls as 'friendly nexus' will now fructify better says -- "The Nagas do not acknowledge any agreements signed under the Indian Constitution".

This is an onslaught to NNPG and its Agreed Position inked in 2017. The NSCN statement issued on Wednesday, Jan 18, negates the Jan 14 so called joint statement and pledged to work together stuff !!

The Eastern Nagaland Students Federation has asked any 'official/office bearer/member of ENSF, Federating units and its units 'holding any designated post are directed to resign or withdraw from any political entity and affiliation' at the earliest.

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president K Therie has termed the announcement of Assembly election date in the State in the midst of high public expectations as a painful slap on the face of people of Nagaland and that every single Naga vote has been betrayed.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he maintained that there was no greater betrayal to Christian society than the announcement of election date – February 27.

He recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s declaration made eight years ago that the Naga political issue had been resolved and also the assertion made by BJP leader Ram Madhav in 2018 “Election for Solution”.

Referring to Rio’s statement that his government could not allow a constitutional crisis vis-à-vis holding assembly polls, Therie alleged that Rio knew that the political solution would not be implemented and election would be held as per schedule.

It was for this reason, Therie said that Rio left for Delhi on Wednesday to please BJP and hold discussions to finalize the 40 (NDPP): 20(BJP) seat sharing, where he (Rio) would first let BJP pick 20 seats of their choice.

Accusing UDA government of being the “United Deceivers Alliance”, Therie said the legislators had been continuously assuring the people of paving the way in the event a final solution is arrived at, but had done nothing. He warned that as long as NDPP and BJP continue to rule, there would be no political solution and that “Hindu nationalists” would capture Nagaland within two to three decades.
