Golden opportunity for Solution ::::: NNPG chief Kitovi and NSCN-IM chairman Tuccu should pen joint letter to PM

#FNR initiated move for civil society to endorse the Jan 14 Joint statement by #NSCN-IM and #NNPG is a positive development for Solution.

Next logical step should be a joint letter from NSCN-IM chairman Q Tuccu and NNPG convener N Kitovi Zhimomi to PM Narendra Modi.

This will fast track the road to Solution and lasting peace in Nagaland and entire northeast region.

Kitovi: Tough job ahead

The support to the Jan 14, 2023 joint commitment was declared at a meeting in Dimapur on Monday, Jan 23, under the aegis of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).

The meeting also empowered the Naga groups for finding 'realistic ways' to move forward in an honourable manner without any interference from internal and external forces.

The meeting also resolved to call upon Naga people to find deep connection with one another and form a collective speech and function as a whole in strengthening the commitment “to explore, at the earliest, realistic ways to move forward on the basis of Naga historical and political right,” as reflected in “Nagas are Moving Ahead” on January 14, 2023.

"Enough of ego hassles and politicking. Nagas are on the threshold of being divided further.....The delay is not patience game, it is walk into the hole of further chaos and mutual hatred. If someone is understanding, God should give him or her sensitivity even at this critical last moment," a key leader working for the cause of early solution said.

The meeting was attended by leaders from influential organisations such as Naga Sisha Hoho, Tenyimi People’s Organisation, Rev Tusaya Kath from Assembly of God, T. Lanu Imchen from Central Nagaland Tribes Council,  Representatives from Fellowship of Naga Baptist Association, Shikuto Zalipu from Nagaland Gaon Burrah (Village Elders) Federation, Toniho Yeptho from Nagaland Tribes Council, and K Elu Ndang from Naga Hoho.

Among those present were also - Prof Rosemary Dzuvichu from the Global Naga Forum and Sarah Nuh from Naga Mothers’ Association. However, it was revealed that NPMHR leaders did not agree to the content of the press release which was signed by others.

Jan 14: Joy in making history
