Shah exposed huge corruption under UDA, says NPAC leader Theja

"Home Minister Shah has highlighted allocation of Rs 4,127 crore for national highways and other projects. According to the Home Minister, under Jal Jeevan Mission 2,18, 000 families benefited, under Ayushman Bharat Scheme around 3 lakh families ......That means, Nagaland is heaven and people are being so ungrateful that Chief Minister Rio is the most unpopular leader," said Therieh sarcastically.

"We have achieved our goals. Our purpose was not that but they only exposed themselves. The banner campaign during Home Minister Amit Shah's visit on Jan 6 was opposed by Rio government agents and cohorts. Police could not tell who gave the instructions.

And even top civil officials were clueless....Our message has gone not only to the Minister but it has gone viral globally, Nagas have no trust in the Neiphiu Rio regime and Nagas want solution," asserted Theja Therieh, Convener of Nagaland People's Action Committee (NPAC) when asked to share his views on the whistle-stop visit of the central VIP.

Answering questions he further told 'Nagaland Page' over phone, "We should welcome the manner Mr Shah

spoke and he gave details of how crores have been sanctioned since 2014. Next time he and other central

leaders will do well to look for some of those projects. The Rio government's corruption saga now does not

need any evidence".

Therieh maintained that in his speech during the function, the Home Minister has highlighted

about allocation of Rs 4,127 crore for national highways and other projects. "According to the Home Minister,

under Jal Jeevan Mission 2,18, 000 families benefited, under Ayushman Bharat Scheme around 3 lakh families

under the PM Awas Yojana as many as 54,636 families benefited, under PM Kissan Samman Nidhi - 2.1 lakh

farmers benefitted and under PM Gram Sadak Yojana, 4,157 km roads were constructed. That means, Nagaland

is heaven and people are being so ungrateful that Chief Minister Rio is the most unpopular leader," said Therieh

sarcastically.

He was also critical on how force was applied to disturb NPAC volunteers who raised banners near the airport during Amit Shah's visit.

"We are shocked at the manner in which the state machinery tried to sabotage the democratic exertion of the peace loving citizens of Nagaland voicing its sentiment during the visit of the Home Minister. The state agency attempted to remove the banners demanding a political solution before the election. We all know which individual and his cohorts were most displeased with such a demand," he said.

Mr Theja further maintained, "This double talk and action is the reason why the concluded talks cannot deliver the required solution. Therefore the NPAC wants to know the real role of the facilitators of Naga political issue".
