Some questions/quotes relevant as BJP high command likely to do what it hates the most ::: APPEASEMENT to NDPP led by Neiphiu Rio

Was Ms Nirmala Sitharaman not embarrassed when as a BJP leader she was asked to impose President's Rule in Nagaland -- where her party is a crucial partner in the ruling alliance?

Was she not embarrassed when journalists wanted to know whether Nagaland's ill is 'financial mismanagement' or 'under-funding'? Worse, she did not have an

 answer!

August 2022:

Nagaland's nascent Rising People's Party (RPP) appealed to FM Sitharaman to promulgate President's Rule in the state and cited CAG report to substantiate their demand.

The message has been going around even after PM Modi's August 15, 2022 speech that in Nagaland 'corruption' is an issue or a way of life! Corruption sustains normal life, politics and insurgency as well.

The Prime Minister of India need not be told these, say key sources.

Insurgency and related stuff

In Aug 2022, reports said - In Nagaland, violent incidents actually came down to 23 in 2020 from 42 the previous year (2019). However, nearly 44 percent of insurgency related incidents in 2020 in Nagaland were attributed to NSCN-IM.

Officials as expected did not take these figures lightly and a formal 'query' message was sent to Kohima as well.

NNPG convener N Kitovi Zhimomi's statement and direct appeal to PM Modi

Kitovi

"The statesmanship and decisiveness of Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is most desirable at this hour. Naga people have been assured an honorable, inclusive solution many times in the last few years. Negotiation with the GoI interlocutor has concluded with sincerity and full commitment". - Kitovi on Aug 14, 2022

Kitovi also said, "Today, Naga people are in a self imposed crisis. There is a confusion between illusion and reality. The world will not wait for us to heal our differences.

"There are those wide awake but pretending to be asleep. Sixty elected members in the oppositionless Nagaland state assembly led by Chief Minister, as facilitators, having the mandate of the electorate of Nagaland, must translate words into action.  Should electoral politics and desire to occupy the chair betray the century old Naga political problem?

Veteran S C Jamir in an article in Jan 2023:

"There are leaders who would like to continue with the status quo so that undeterred exploitation of Nagaland and its people could continue. For them ‘no solution is the solution’ ".

Veteran Jamir: Who worked with all PMs

From this blog/'Nagaland Page' reports:

Vital Questions:

1. "Will it be wrong to presume that Nagaland has all the ingredients of a revolution -- joblessness, roads in shambles, teachers not getting salaries, thriving corruption and quite an incompetent and indifferent politico-administrative system?

2. When it comes to hard political war there is no pill for regret. "

3. What has really 'delayed' the Naga peace process especially at the most decisive and the last phase ?

4. Does Status Quo suit some stakeholders and even a section of Babudom in Delhi? What should be 'ideally' the roles of an elected state government and state legislators in the entire bargain?

'Nagaland Page' --- Nov 21, 2022

"Next few questions could be: What is the timing for playing 'facilitators'? Does any resignation by an MLA count after everything is worked out between the Centre and underground militants?

So far there is no written statement yet from the participants. The joke is 'Himanta inspired Lahe Lahe kaam choli asey'.

Bravo NDPP's love and dependence on Himanta ?

The influential Nagaland Gaon Burrah Federation (of village elders) in a detailed statement said - “NGBF is convinced that although elections are a necessity in a democratic World, it is not advisable at this hour in Nagaland.

Let elections be postponed in favour of President's Rule to ensure honorable and acceptable solution".

This week, the BJP high command is likely to do what it hates the most ::: 'APPEASEMENT'.

Nay ! appeasement is not to Muslims or any caste group !

The Lotus party in Delhi guided by ill-advised lieutenants of Delhi and misguided 'from Assam' is likely to appease a minor political party called NDPP, ---- whose president has sought to ignore the passionate call of his tribesmen - the Konyaks and a Chief Minister who pledged to lead a team of 'facilitators' but now is thinking otherwise.
