Polls could be still happening; 'Guwahati conclaves' continue !! ::::: Besides 20:40, NDPP wants change of 'few seats'

(Used also in 'Nagaland Page' )

Polls could be still happening; 'Guwahati conclaves' continue !!

New Delhi

'Solution' ? -- hey man, 2028 is not very far off !

What will happen in BJP's internal politics in the next few weeks is more important than mere academic interest for a Nagaland voter. Who will be the new Nagaland unit BJP president ? What are the qualifications?

Ability to laugh 'in Hindi' or make the world laugh? Who will be Nagaland in-charge? Should he be more loyal to NDPP or something else?

'Not many people have seen this snap' : Sources

What's wrong in being an admirer or even a Bhakt? If a journalist can be 'Modi bhakt' or Modi basher; so what prevents a BJP man to be NDPP Bhakt? If in a party's growth, lies the downfall of an individual; let the growth of the party be stalled.

But mind you, the lion’s paw fell on a distinguished predecessor and the man has vanished from BJP's  coveted central 'office bearer's' post in no time. The 'big boss' can get the sense of everything.

More to it. What should be the role of chairman of 'alliance of eastern democracy' and his most important priority? Keep BJP weak in Nagaland or Meghalaya. Why?

No one from BJP-ruled Manipur or Arunachal Pradesh chants the hymn -- yes, that 'seasonal name' ?

The 20-40 game is going full swing. Home Minister Amit Shah has blessed it again on Jan 6 but understandably with some conditions. A closed door meeting of four leaders took place in Guwahati lately and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio was possibly discussing 'how to facilitate' change of few seats. Ting Tong !

Or all that were pre-Bihu meetings?

Rio reportedly interacted also with Himanta Biswa Sarma in presence of Rituraj Sinha and yes, Nalin Kohli. Should BJP get 25 seats?

Has Pughoboto gone out of the BJP box ? Should BJP debate and ensure defeat of its own man in the Tyui assembly segment? The 'torture' for five yeas; only 'man' showing the broken mirror at times.

Even NPF leaders have been silenced, but not him. BJP may ask for Tsemeniyu and even Koridang.

Kitovi of NNPG may have to wait again !

Now, it is said final seat share deal could be announced by Jan 18 or 29th. That means election is on. BJP National Executive meets on Jan 16 and 17. The game is on.

To most Naga Netas and journalists tracking Nagaland politics; these adventures are business as usual. 'Papers may write, TVs may show this... we go on forever'. The beauty of 'chain of messes' is that there is always a search for a savior in the village. And money bags can do wonders !

There are many more facets. Indian currency and Chinese guns? Social workers may also make a beeline to be rewarded 'politically', otherwise where is the political solution ?  There's nothing uncivil about it.

Democracy is related to elections, polls are related to power and what about 'power' ? -- Should it continue to be linked to the jungles or the rules of jungles around the commercial capital? In north India, people know about Punjabi jokes and the "double meaning" of every sentence.

In Nagaland, some 'double meanings' are well known in political circles and also for jokes. 'Facilitator means' - the people with the right not to shed power. Election means festivals; and more importantly 'festivals of money' and cash doles.
Assertive regional leadership means -silence of two respected chiefs, Chingwang Konyak and Shurhozelie.

Late P R Dasmunshi of Congress once gave Rs 1000 to a young party worker, sending him to Chumukedima from Dimapur during 1993 elections. The foot-soldier returned the money. As Dasmunshi was shell-shocked; I had to tell him, "Priya Da, this is election time in Nagaland".

Stupidity is knowing the truth, seeing the truth but still believing the lies. That's how genuine journalism has survived.

But is there something called genuine politics ?
