Few weeks back; I ran an imaginative and fictional work.

A Fictional Play !! :: "No Need of a Second Opinion" ::::::: (The Mirror tells me about my ego
Hence this is as 'response' or continuation of the Sept 3rd (2025) piece/play
Act 2
The stage is set.
The 'Historian' protagonist returns home after meeting the aging Revolutionary Leader
He was so much spell bound and impressed by the Revolutionary old warhorse that the Historian gets back before his large sized mirror and tries to reflect upon what all the leader had said ---
Historian starts speaking to the Mirror
".... You know .... As my mirror, you must be knowing; I spent my whole life worrying what people will think."
The Mirror does not respond.
Historian face turns a bit pale. Is the 'mirror' teasing him now !!
But he continues:
"No, I understand what you are thinking. I am not in love with her ... I definitely liked her .... many years back. Bu today nothing is left.... I am almost a widower....My wife is lost in her life. That's her life.
But yes; maybe little bit I am living with her memories. The memories of my class mate .... who never became my wife".
Historian face brightens --
Probably -- the Mirror has understood him...- he thinks.
And then says --
"True; I may be a good one but not a great one".
****
The historian keeps speaking to the Mirror.
In this age. everyone is alone. Youth is especially the loneliest island -- the historian says.
His aversion to partnership and share and care are most obvious in the rejection of the concept of friendship as we understood once.
He thinks and he knows he is capable of winning alone or not winning at all.
He is a strange creature.
Disappointing interjections like these.....
seem to have been part of what he has turned out to be. An eternal skeptical. The whole negativity. Something he would have hated a few decades back.
“I always gave an honest answer and sometimes it feels to me that the Westminster (my wife .. or my colleagues) etc could not deal with those answers.
They might be expecting some falsehood ... some colour ... some spice
Coffin is a coffin.... coffin of earth or one very costly what difference can it make
“Take me in, oh tender Mirror .... you are being very harsh
The world has changed a lot. This new world leadership views unity not as something cultivated through respectful dialogue but something enforced through control.
Diverse views and perspectives; no longer matter much.
It's a world of ,,,, My way or take the highway What bothers more is how much 'power' you have ...
the power to abuse ...
it may be to help inlaws and relatives.
It is hardly to help the needy and pls forget the poor.
A society or an association of intellectuals... our historians once brimming with energy, ideas and volunteers today appears a club of vegetable sellers, shopkeepers and traders
who is only thinking about road to profitability
Everyone has made the organisation a professionalised bureaucracy aimed at maintaining power rather than transforming society.
Hunger can make people do anything even kill someone ... thats how perhaps cannibalism came.
When hungry, brain shrinks
bp drops and hearts move slowly
One can stop thinking
This also happens when you are mad about Love.
