"turning point was air strikes by India on May 9, it was a 'hell fire'"" ::::::::::::::::: "We do not want anyone to mediate," - an official source said on India-Pak ties :::: "There is only one matter left ... the return of PoK"

Chief Justice of India designate BR Gavai on Pahalgam terror attack says

"When the country is in danger Supreme Court can't be aloof, we are part of the country.

When we heard about the incident, we were stunned. I convened a full court after taking permission from the Chief Justice since he was not in the country. After the meeting, we immediately announced a two-minute silence across the Supreme Court to pay homage to the victims of the attack."

We have a very clear position on Kashmir, there is only one matter left- the return of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). There is nothing else to talk. If they talk about handing over terrorists, we can talk.

We don't have any intention of any other topic.

We don't want anyone to mediate.

If Pak attacks, we will retaliate stronger: PM Modi to Vance on ceasefire

During talks with  US Vice President J D Vance over a de-escalation with Pakistan on May 8th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly said that India would respond strongly if attacked by Pakistan.

"Vance called and spoke to Modi off-ramp.

The PM told him if they attack, we will attack stronger," sources said.

Following Vance's conversation with Prime Minister Modi, discussions were held with Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, and subsequently with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

However, US Secretary of State Marci Rubio told Jaishankar that the call was not intended to discuss an off-ramp.

The turning point was air strikes by India on 9th May and the morning of 10th May, it was a 'hell fire' by India.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, after talking to Pakistan Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir, called EAM Dr S Jaishankar and informed that Pakistan is ready to talk.

India made it clear that talks should be between DGMOs and no one else.

Pakistan DGMO requested for the time with the Indian counterpart at 1 pm on 10th May.

It is to be noted that India informed Pakistan's DGMO on 7th May that it had conducted strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan, but he did not respond. He asked for time after India conducted strikes on air bases: Sources
