There is a proverb in north India -- "Make your child a prince for five years, a slave for ten years, and a friend thereafter." --- Let us replace the word son with 'classmate' and then do the fact checking.....
What does it come about ??--- Make your classmate - a prince for five years .... a slave for next 10 years ,,, and then a friend.
Oh no !! Zindagi.... the life does not work like that !!

A former self-styled and self-made businessman from Shillong - Kishore Das - is now in Kolkata. A good father; a dotting husband ... keeps calling his wife "ogo suncho go" (that's only a rumour) .... and a good friend to Sam Bhattacharya.
Both live in the City of Joy --- whatever that means !!
The highly 'spirited' Sam .... is in mid-fifties like all of us and he is just "five months old husband".
"I am being %%% ..... "- he said in fact using a desi word -- that's sometimes called FIGURATIVELY !! Enough of freedom !!
A new 'bakra' is getting the treatment ... all of us have gone through and still "indulging".
No more mischief ... Four of us were on a video chat rather accidentally.

We are of 1984 December (1985 batch) pass out from St Anthony's -- Class X.
Compared to 2025, it was altogether a different world.
Hence all are now 'aging' with responsibilities. But 'four of us' - 4 Idiots - one may say do not allow pensive moments capture us.
We liked laughing and talking and laughing..... and again .... talking and laughing.
No one was "drunk" ---- but I am always doubtful about Sam. When it comes to the natural habit of a fish - he is the best liar in the town.
So.... for all our wives - if they are interested to read and know about our mischief video conference May 5 (2025) --- are really interested to know .... what we spoke so much. They have nothing to fear ----
all seemed to be 'disciplined' husbands.
Three of us - Kishore, Mofidul and me --- are dads too.
Sam ?? ..... man in "action" ..... just five months man !!
He may oblige Chandigarh wallahs for a grand 'ceremony' soon as his lady wife hails from that beautiful city....

-La Boh Lia club is now a Punjabi-pati ! Globe totter who learnt 'hospitality' tricks in Africa ... fas gaya .... !!
To talk about three of us -- Mofidul, Kishore and your's blogger (Nirendra) -- all three are actually pals out of the same bench "Class IX and X".
Mofidul and Kishore actually know each other when they were in Class I. Hence - the salutation was on expected line -- "dhur beta".
Who was the first to stand in front of all-girls St Mary's School?
They will never confess.
We also spoke about Pakistan .... what will happen if there is a war.
But the ultimate fact of the matter in this post-April 22 South Asia remains ---
Pakistan is not yet doomed; but it may be getting ready to paying for the mistakes.
Related to 'war' time tension and preparations; Sam shared a classic information. Kishore has stored in rice for next 30 years in his Kolkata villa.
If Modi ever listens to his Bhakt-patrakar. ED sleuths should start investigation rice-wallahs too.
Let's distort something yet again -- ".... each hidden rice bag is a friend who never fails".

Every person was able to take 'away' about 40 minutes of the day !!
A slice of a day in which one consciously and perhaps even naturally could separate the present from the future. But we were very much linked to the 'past' --- our roots --- we call that being Anthonian. Ex-Shillong wallahs.
