"Armed Forces are maintaining a strong vigil and have been instructed to deal strongly with any instances of repetition of violations of ceasefire: Foreign Secy

"The Armed Forces are maintaining a strong vigil on the situation and have been given instructions to deal strongly with any instances of repetition of the violations of the borders along the international border as well as the line of control", says Foreign Secretary within hours after Pakistan violated ceasefire on Saturday evening, May 110th.

He said: "The armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations, and we take these violations very seriously.

We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address them and to deal with the situation with seriousness and responsibility."

He said :

"An understanding was reached this evening between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan to stop the military action that was going on for the last few days.

For the last few hours, this understanding is being violated by Pakistan.

"The Indian Army is retaliating and dealing with this border intrusion.

This intrusion is extremely condemnable and Pakistan is responsible for it.

"We believe that Pakistan should understand this situation properly and take appropriate action immediately to stop this intrusion," the foreign secretary said in first reactions to the fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistan within four-and-half hours of agreeing to give up military conflict.

Earlier from around 9.30 pm Pakistan on May 10th evening broke/violated ceasefire within hours of announcement of the same.

Reportedly, it launched fresh drone attack in Srinagar, shelling in Jammu

Artillery shelling and drone activity along the International Border and LoC in multiple sectors
This clearly 'violates the ceasefire' agreement reached just hours earlier.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweets,
-- "What the hell just happened to the ceasefire? Explosions heard across Srinagar".

Rajasthan: A complete blackout has been enforced in the city of Barmer

Punjab: A complete blackout has been enforced in Ferozepur

On Pakistan violating the understanding to cease all firing and military action, Defence Expert Captain Anil Gaur (Retired) says, "This shows that Pakistan is a country that cannot be trusted at all. It shows that there are rogue elements in the Pakistani army.

Now India has the right to retaliate...India should now retaliate and destroy Pakistan's military assets so that they realise who they are dealing with..."
