Dream/fiction is over !! That's the story between Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Every time the 'real' moment comes to strike --- Rahul ends up making some mistakes and Narendra Modi is blessed.
Blessed is a life --where if you have a rival and critic like that, who says you need Friends. At least Indian Prime Minister does not need to. August 9th, 2023 could have been a turning point, but alas. The Congress leader goes to Rajasthan after making a lackluster speech in Lok Sabha --- and the Team Modi knows yet again, their task has been made easier.
Rahul Gandhi and Congress party wasted Parliament time and the entire Monsoon session on No Confidence Motion and yet when the D-Day came Rahul Gandhi made a damp squib speech .... he sounded vague and not prepared !!
Ideally, Congress president Malikarjun Kharge and two general secretaries Jairam Ramesh and K C Venugopal should be sacked ! What a flip-flop !
Seriously, Rahul should change advisors, not goal posts. ...his priority suddenly became Rajasthan visit ...and not debate in the House or even Manipur...
How will other Opposition parties take this....remains to be seen !
Now it is worthwhile to take a closer glance at what 'Indian Express' says in its unorthodox 'Express Views' piece !!
"......in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, when Gandhi sat down after an intervention that lasted for nearly 40 minutes, there was a strong sense that an important opportunity had been missed," ran a soft kid-gloves treatment/usage modest reprimand !!
'Indian Express' is a die-hard Congress backer and brazenly anti-Modi/anti-BJP newspaper in the city. It did not mind running that infamous story on 'coup' planned by Gen V K Singh !! It was worse than a piece of fiction.... perhaps !!
Now, it says, -- "Disappointingly, what they heard and what they watched, instead, was Gandhi spiralling, precipitously, into a plague-on-all-your-houses name-calling.
From the dramatic “inhon ne Manipur mein Hindustan ki hatya ki hai” (they have murdered India in Manipur), to dredging up a parallel from the story of Ravana in Ramayana, and calling out “traitors”.
Gandhi’s accusations of political abdication could, at best, be described as plain anguish. In their sheer undifferentiatedness and un-specificness, they were, in fact, self-indulgent and opaque. In the context of Manipur, they amounted to a moment lost by the Opposition, which is also an abdication."
Unbelievable !! It appears to have been penned by some Modi bhakts -- who could have been 'rubbished' (Hindi journalism style) in once upon a time 'nothing doing television' .
Personally, I have no issues if the said newspaper is changing its discourse, one is only amazed that it has happened with this paper !

(dated July 23, 2023) that ---- 'focusing' only on Manipur will ultimately give huge advantages to Naremdra Modi !
Delhi has a 'jugadu club'. They are immensely "unhappy" since 2014. Modi has stopped everything even 'juicy' beat (journalism) has become 'I also cover type' standard -- or sub-standard.
This club also wants 'downfall' of the regime under Modi -- which otherwise believes Social Media is more important.
I am all for media-power; but let us earn it our own way -- hard way !!

"Rahul is a very immature guy who has never worked in any field. Suddenly his mother has catapulted him in a very high position. Besides lack of polital acumen, I think he has little or no understanding of governance. However, he has a nuisance value which eventually works against him and his party. I am surprised at old guard of Congress who are totally subsevient to him and why ? No doubt he is the biggest asset to BJP.
