'India🇮🇳,
I reached my destination
and you too!'

: Chandrayaan-3

“We had a very soft landing as we were able to achieve most of the nominal conditions including the velocity of the touchdown. This gives us a lot of confidence that the health of the craft will be very good,”

- says ISRO Chief S Somanath.

"This human centric approach that we represent has been welcome universally. Our Moon Mission is also based on the same human centric approach. Therefore, this success belongs to all of humanity. And it will help Moon Missions of other countries in the future." - PM said

I am confident that all countries in the world including those from Global South are capable of achieving such feats. We can all aspire for the Moon and beyond".

"We have fixed up some very ambitious and big projects....Very soon, ISRO will launch Aditya L-1 Mission ....".

This mission will give us more details about the sun and the solar atmosphere which is affected by the sun's activities.

"India is proving it every time that sky is not the limit....".

"Science and technology are the strong foundations of country's progress and prosperity".

Rahul Gandhi tweets:

"Congratulations to Team ISRO for today's pioneering feat.  #Chandrayaan3’s soft landing on the uncharted lunar South Pole is the result of decades of tremendous ingenuity and hard work by our scientific community.
Since 1962, India’s space program has continued to scale new heights and inspire generations of young dreamers."

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar

"Today is a historic day for India and a proud moment for all the people of the country. I congratulate all the scientists for this successful mission".

PM Modi

"Friends,

On this joyous occasion, I would also like to address all the people of the world, the people of every country, and region. India’s successful moon mission is not India’s alone. This is a year in which the world is witnessing India’s G-20 presidency. Our approach of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ is resonating across the globe.

This human-centric approach that we represent has been welcomed universally. Our moon mission is also based on the same human-centric approach. Therefore, this success belongs to all of humanity. And it will help moon missions by other countries in the future.

I am confident that all countries in the world, including those from the Global South, are capable of achieving such feats. We can all aspire for the moon and beyond.

  1. Extremely overwhelmed by watching the live streaming of moon landing. Many thanks to ISRO for making it happen and allowing common people with smartphones and data to watch this historic accomplishment on their mobile screens wherever they were.
Much thought provoking is that India achieved its moon mission in $75 million vs $200 million spent just to make a movie about moon-- the 2013 Hollywood chartbuster Gravity starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. -- Kat Patil, Pune

  2. The 'Chandrayan-3' mission adds another feather to ISRO's cap.
India is now the first country to put its flag on the South Pole after Vikram Lander's successful soft landing on the Moon.
