PM Modi lays emphasis on fighting Corruption, dynasty-based Nepotism and Appeasement and ensure women-led development

PM Modi from the ramparts of Red Fort calls for 'collective responsibility' to promote "probity, transparency and nishpakshta (objectivity)" to make India developed and emerge up to its true potentials. 








PM Modi in his 10th Independence Day speech laid emphasis on the need to fight three menaces of Corruption, dynasty-based Nepotism and Appeasement. 


On the occasion, Modi also announced the launch of the Vishwakarma Yojana with an initial spending of Rs 13,000- Rs 15,000 crore in the next month for those with traditional skills. The Vishwakarma Scheme was announced in the Budget 2023. 
Incidentally the new programme is likely to be formally kick-started from Vishwakarma Day, Sept 17, also his birthday !!


“We have to fight three things now — corruption, family rule, and appeasement. These create impediments to people’s aspirations. Corruption has badly affected India’s capability; it is Modi’s life-long commitment to keep fighting against corruption Politics of appeasement has inflicted most harm on social justice; country has to resolve to not tolerate corruption in any form.”

He repeatedly addresses countrymen and women as ‘parivarjan’ (my family members)



“The country stands with the people of Manipur…Resolution can be found through peace only. The Centre and the State government is making all efforts to find resolution, and will continue to do so”


Pitching hard for the next year's electoral battle, he said, "In 2014, when you all wanted change, we came to power first. In 2019, on the basis of performance, you blessed me once again...The next five years are for unprecedented development. Next five years will be most crucial and golden period to realise the dream of 2047 ".

I say this on the basis of the capability of my country and available resources...But the need of the hour is to fight three evils - Corruption, Dynasty and Appeasement..."

Modi also says, "...The Vibrant  Border Villages were called the last villages of the country. We changed that mindset. They are not the last villages in the country. What you can see at the borders is the first village in my country...I am delighted that special guests of this event are 600 Pradhans of these border villages. They have come here at the Red Fort to be a part of this event..."


Modi also said, "When India is determined, it completes the work - our track record says that...For 25 years it was being discussed in the country that a New Parliament building will be built. Ye Modi hai, samay ke pehle Sansad banakar ke rakh diya. This is a Govt that works, that meets set goals. This is New India. This is an India that is full of self-confidence...Ye Bharat na rukta hai, na thakta hai, na haanfta hai aur na hi haarta hai."


Referring to the ensuing G-20 Summit and India's fast emerging global image, the Prime Minister said, "For the G20 Summit, we should focus on the idea of 'One World, One Family, One Future". 



"We have presented philosophies and the world is now connecting with India over them. For renewable energy sector, we said 'One Sun, One World, One Grid'. After Covid, we told the world that our approach should be of 'One World, One Help' ".

The Prime Minister said, reform, perform and transform are changing the country. He said, the potential of 140 crore countrymen is visible in shaping the changing world order. 


Modi said, after Covid-19 pandemic, a new world order, a new geo-political equation is taking shape and the definition of geopolitics is changing. He said, every expert of the world are claiming that India is unstoppable. PM said, every rating agency of the world is commending India. 



He said, India's biggest capability is trust, people's trust in Government, in country's bright future and world's trust in India. The Prime Minister said, ball is in our court and we should not let go of opportunity. He said, India is hosting G20 Summit and several G20 events are being held across the country.
