Takeaway from Day 1 debate on No Trust Motion is .... "anti-Congressism still prevails quite strongly" and it will be good if SICKULARISM understands this

BJP's Nishikant Dubey gave instances of differences between Congress and its regional partners.

With regard DMK, he said the Congress had dismissed M Karunanidhi ministry in Tamil Nadu in 1976 on the issue of corruption. In 1980, they both again tied up. "Aap karey toh rash-lila, hum karey toh character dheela".

"Two Commissions were set up after Rajiv Gandhi assassination, the Jain Commission had said LTTE got support from DMK; and today you both the parties are together again," Dubey said.

Similarly, he said, #TrinamoolCongress was once an ally of BJP. Rajnath Singh as party president visited Singur during agitation, "we contributed in helping TMC come to power in West Bengal; and Saradha or Narada cases against you were filed by Congress not us".

Congress is expert in 'snatching defeat from the jaws of victory", says BJD :::: "Using women as instruments for violence is unacceptable", says Samajwadi MP Dimple Yadav

(imp. takeaway from the Day 1 debate on No Trust Motion is ....

"anti-Congressism still prevails  quite strongly" and it will be good if SICKULARISM and 'Click' type (a pun) media understand this !!

“We were born out of the need to oppose the #corrupt government of the #Congress. Therefore, it is not possible for the #BJD to support any motion brought by the Congress". - #PinakiMishra #NoConfidenceMotion

BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik

"The Opposition's No Confidence Motion has been ratified by Supreme Court by its verdict yesterday".  - N K Premachandran, RSP

"Using women as instruments for perpetrating violence is unacceptable in constitutional democracy...It was a state-sponsored ethnic violence...",

- Dimple Yadav of Samajwadi Party during No Confidence Motion

TMC MP Sougata Roy: "PM Modi does not believe in parliamentary democracy. "143 people have been killed. 65,000 people have fled the state. Two women were stripped, gang-raped and paraded ...The CM is helpless. The PM is not coming to Parliament and he has not gone to the state."

Navneet Ravi Rana, Independent MP from Maharashtra said, "The video of assault on women was shot on May 4th and was made viral in July...The Government must probe into this and ensure punishment for those responsible behind making the video viral".

Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister and Arunachal lawmaker, said, "Before 2014, many people from the Northeast faced racial discrimination and atrocities in Delhi and other major cities of the country. After 2014 the situation changed, and the DGP conference was held in Guwahati for the first time after independence. During this meeting, the PM directed that police must ensure the security of people from the Northeast".

BJD floor leader Pinaki Misra says, "...I have always believed that the Congress party is adept at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. They are also very adept at cutting their nose to spite their face.

“We were born out of the need to oppose the corrupt government of the Congress. Therefore, it is not possible for the BJD to support any motion brought by the Congress.

"They know that every time the Prime Minister has got up to speak on the Floor of this House, he has pushed the Congress party through the shredder...This defies common sense, logic, political sense. People of this country will decide if the PM has chosen not to speak whether that was right or wrong. You have to take the case to the people...", he said.

He also said, "I cannot support a No Confidence Motion against a Central Govt today, even though we are against the BJP as a political party...I am grateful for the many things that the Central Govt has done for Odisha which is why, in any case, I am unable to persuade myself on behalf of my party and leader to support a No Confidence Motion today which has been brought by the Congress party."

"This is not a battle between two coalitions. Its a battle between #Scheme of #NDA against #Scam of I.N.D.I.A

says Shrikant Eknath #Shinde of #ShivSena #NoConfidenceMotion

Kalyan MP raised the bogey of Maharashtra politics and said the 2019 mandate in Maharashtra was in favour of BJP-Sena alliance, but the mandate was hijacked as some people were more keen to become Chief Minister. This was veiled attack on Uddhav Thackeray.

Dimple Yadav of Samajwadi Party accused that Manipur is being given "step motherly treatment". She also raised the inflation and price rise of essential commodities.

"The ruling party MPs say we should discuss Rajasthan ....but what about Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh," Ms Yadav said.

"Never anybody could think Shiv Sena will ever tie up with Congress....The same party also went for alliance with Samajwadi Party," Shinde said adding it was Samajwadi Party government in UP had opened fire on Ram Bhakts.

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi says, "PM took a 'maun vrat' to not speak in the Parliament. So, we had to bring the No Confidence Motion to break his silence.

We have three questions for him - 1) Why did he not visit Manipur to date? 2) Why did it take almost 80 days to finally speak on Manipur and when he did speak it was just for 30 seconds? 3) Why has the PM not sacked the Manipur CM so far?"

A govt which talks about one India has created two Manipur: #Congress #GauravGogoi

Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi challenged Congress party why Rahul Gandhi has backed out from initiating the debate on No Confidence motion ..."what happened in five minutes...," he asked amid din and strong protest from Gaurav Gogoi.

The Congress MP from Assam, Gaurav Gogoi also said,  "PM will have to accept that his double-engine govt, his govt in Manipur has failed. That is why, 150 people died in Manipur around 5000 houses were torched, around 60,000 people are in relief camps".

BJP fields vocal Nishikant Dubey to defend the Government on No Trust Motion.

He says, "The Supreme Court has not given a judgement (on Rahul Gandhi defamation case). It has given a stay order...He is saying that he will not apologise...Secondly, he says "I am not Savarkar" - You can never be Savakar...".

Raising the row over Newsclick, he said, "Why Congress is touchy about Newsclick".

Nishikant Dubey, BJP

Dubey said the condition of his state Jharkhand was so bad that in 1993, he lost his younger sister as there was no medico. "Today, I am very proud that in my parliamentary constituency Godda, there is an AIIMS like institute coming up".

NCP MP Supriya Sule said, "I demand that the (Manipur) CM must resign immediately...10,000 cases of rioting, murder and rape. Have we become so insensitive? This is the problem with this Govt..."

In Rajya Sabha, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, raised the serious issue of Chinese funding vis-a-vis paid media and some political parties.

Piyush Goyal, Union Minister & Leader of House, later told reporters, “Today MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, raised a serious issue related to the nation’s security in the Parliament. A serious issue has been highlighted by an American newspaper that Delhi CM vouched for as the biggest newspaper in the world. This newspaper has exposed the alliance of these arrogant leaders, their relation can be traced to the Communist Party of China…”

“Previously we thought that only the Communist party follows the direction of China and Russia, but then it struck us that in 2007-08 Congress’s permanent young leader also walked on the directions of China…During the time of UPA and Congress ruling, the country’s economic condition deteriorated along with economic trade with China," Goyal said.

"Now 'NewsClick' issue raises serious questions against those who used to talk about democracy and alleged that India is facing trouble regarding free press… Now it’s clear that all those were paid media that propagated the false narratives for which the leaders of Congress, leaders of TMC, and leaders of Communist party would vouch for…” he said.

"This no-confidence motion has been brought at a very wrong time. The Congress will regret it later," says Kiren Rijiju.

Samajwadi MP Dimple Yadav also said,  "BJP is destroying the institutions, right from EC, ED, CBI to others. They are using them as tools....BJP destroying the administrative and financial federalism".
