"Just at the instance of one family, the Congress should stop giving clean chit to Pakistan" ::::: "We had the support of the world but, sadly, not from the Congress" -- PM Modi makes a blistering attack on Congress

"Congress always compromised national security. Before asking why PoK wasn’t reclaimed, they should answer who let Pakistan take it. The answer is clear. In 1971, we captured 1,000 Pakistani soldiers and large parts of Pakistan.

With more vision, PoK could have been reclaimed then. Between 1962-63, Congress leaders proposed abandoning parts of Jammu and Kashmir".

"Just at the instance of one family, the Congress should stop giving clean chit to Pakistan.... Congress should take corrective steps," -- he said in Lok Sabha replying to the 16-hour long debate on Operation Sindoor.

"I urge Congress leaders not to come under pressure from one family and not to turn a moment of national pride into a matter of mockery"

"Operation Sindoor makes it clear that India has decided on three points.

1) If there is a terrorist attack on India, we will respond in our own method, on our conditions and on our time.

2) No nuclear blackmail would work now.

3) We will not see terrorist-supporting governments and terror masterminds as two separate entities," PM Narendra Modi said in Lok Sabha.

Narendra Modi also lashed out at the Congress over its lack of support after Pahalgam attack and said while the world supported India, it found no support from Congress.

"We had the support of the world but, sadly, not from the Congress," he said.

PM added, "Just in a few minutes after our Operation, our military told the Pakistan military that we had this aim and we have achieved it, to know what they were thinking. We achieved our target 100 per cent. Had Pakistan used its brain, it wouldn’t have stood with terrorists. But shamelessly, they stood with terrorists. We were prepared and awaiting..."

Minutes before PM Modi began his Parliament speech, Rahul Gandhi tore into the Centre and said there was no "freedom of operation and manoeuvre for the armed forces" during Operation Sindoor. PM today underlined that the government gave the armed forces a free hand and Pakistan could do nothing.

Speaking about Operation Sindoor, PM Modi said, "After Pahalgam, the Pakistani forces anticipated a big response from India. They were giving us nuclear threats. On the night of May 6-7, we conducted an Operation the way we wanted, and Pakistan couldn't do anything. In 22 minutes, we avenged the April 22 attack"

"Congress sacrificed country's security for their politics of appeasement and vote bank"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while leading Operation Sindoor debate in Parliament, recalled how Pakistan pleaded for a ceasefire after India's counter-terror operation.

“Pakistan said, 'Bahut maara, ab jyada maar jhelne ki takat nahi hai'. They asked us to stop the war," said the PM.

"Bas karo, bahut maara hai (please stop the attack, you have hit too hard)," PM recalled how Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) pleaded with his Indian counterpart for a ceasefire.

"India got support of the entire world... no world leader asked India to stop... but it is unfortunate the Congress did not support the valour of our soldiers," he said. The PM also hit out at Congress for "for looking for politics in the death of the innocents in the Pahalgam attack".
