Allegations of sexual exploitation and forced religious conversion have surfaced from IT major TCS's Nashik facility.
Multiple FIRs have been lodged, and several people, including team leads and engineers, have been arrested.
The alleged harassment is said to have continued for two to three years.
Maharashtra minister and BJP leader Girish Mahajan said "four to five Muslim company workers and some officers lured the girls by promising them jobs and good salaries". He claimed that the women were "made to offer namaz and keep roza".
The company, TCS, said in a statement that it maintains a "zero-tolerance policy" and that the employees under probe have been suspended. However, questions remain over why earlier complaints to the HR allegedly went unaddressed.
The police have formed a 12-member SIT under an ACP-rank officer, and say the probe is based on both technical and physical evidence.
