Kejriwal is Rehman Dacoit of Delhi: BJP outs 'Sheesh Mahal 2' pics; AAP calls them fake
BJP leader Parvesh Verma accused AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal of living in luxury and alleged he had built a second 'Sheesh Mahal' at his new residence in Lodhi Estate. AAP MP Sanjay Singh dismissed the images as "fake" and warned of defamation action.
The Delhi BJP released a stylized poster and video titled
"Dhurandhar 3 – The Story of Delhi’s Rahman Dakait," which depicts Arvind Kejriwal as a "dacoit" who allegedly looted public wealth. The social media campaign uses the caption 'Film By AAP-da' and features symbolism of a broken broom to critique the former Chief Minister’s lifestyle.
The BJP's promotional material focuses on the "Sheesh Mahal," a term they use to describe Kejriwal’s residence, highlighting luxury features such as a kitchen allegedly costing ₹1.5 crore and curtains worth ₹95 lakh. BJP leader Parvesh Verma shared visuals of what he claimed was "Sheesh Mahal 2" at 95 Lodhi Estate, suggesting Kejriwal has abandoned his "common man" image for extreme extravagance.
In response, Sanjay Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party dismissed the visuals as fake and threatened defamation action against those airing the footage.
