"This era will be known as Swarnim Kal (Golden period) for women" ::::::: "This moment today is historic for the country's feminine power...." ::::: DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin says: "I am wearing black shirt to oppose Delimitation Bill"

"Henceforth this era will be known as Swarnim Kal (Golden period) and Amrit Kal for women," - actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut

Sandhya Ray, BJP leader and member of the Panel of Chairpersons in Lok Sabha, says,  "I thank the Prime Minister on behalf of the country's maternal power... This moment today is historic for the country's feminine power... In the 2029 elections, the country's feminine power will get the opportunity to be represented..."

On the delimitation issue, she says, "When this bill was introduced in 2023, there was doubt whether it would be implemented by 2029 or not, but today, this is a major issue. When our Prime Minister addresses us, all these things will become clear."

JMM MP Mahua Maji says, "We support the Women's Reservation Bill, but we are objecting to the timing of the Parliament session during Tamil Nadu and West Bengal elections. The bill cannot be implemented until the census and delimitation are conducted. So, this bill could have been taken up in the Monsoon session. Therefore, this appears to be a political stunt by the BJP...".

In Madurai, Tamil Nadu, DMK leader and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin says, "Today is a very important day. I am wearing a black shirt opposing the Delimitation Bill.

The Union Govt is trying to reduce the representation from Tamil Nadu... Using the election time in Tamil Nadu, the Union government is trying to divert us from the election and bring this Delimitation Bill."

Revolutionary Socialist Party MP, NK Premchandran said:

"The entire Opposition supports the reservation for women. Now, the government is bringing three bills that are not meant for women's reservation but for delimitation.

We are opposing the modus operandi of the delimitation process envisaged in the new bill...".
