Notwithstanding some objections, finally a key leader from the defection bank, Alpesh Thakor's name figures in the BJP list of candidates.

In Alpesh Thakor's original constituency Radhanpur, the BJP has declared Lovingji Thakor as its candidate.
In Vadodara, Mayor Keyur Rokadia has been given a ticket.
The Congress in Gujarat has preferred to play safe and re-nominated all the four sitting MLAs from Ahmedabad.
Jignesh Mevani too has been given the ticket from Vadgam.
Ilyas Qureshi has been denied ticket and Imran Khan has been repeated from Muslim dominated Jamalpur-Kheda.
Shailesh Parmar, deputy Leader of Opposition, was re-nominated from Danilimda, Himmatsinh Patel from Bapunagar and Gyassudin Sheikh from Dariapur.
Leader of Opposition Sukhram Rathwa will contest again from his Jetpur seat.
The party has fielded Sangramsinh Rathwa, son of senior leader and ex-MP Naran Rathwa, from Chhota Udepur seat, and Satyajitisnh Gakewad from Waghodia seat.
Senior MLA C J Chavda will contest from Vijapur instead of his Gandhinagar (North) seat, while in Mansa sitting MLA Suresh Patel has been dropped and Babusinh Thakor has been given the ticket in his place.
Those repeated include Geniben Thakore from Vav, Gulabsinh Rajput from Tharad, Nathabhai Patel from Dhanera, Kantibhai Kaharadi from Danta, Dr Kirit Patel from Patan, Raghu Desai from Radhanpur, Chandanji Thakor from Siddhpur, Baldevji Thakor from Kalol, Rajendrasinh Parmar from Borsad, Amit Chavda from Anklav, Punam Parmar from Sojitra, and Chandrikaben Baraiya from Garbada.
