Pakistan does not mind perishing itself. It may not hesitate even using Nukes.
In Reality -- New Delhi might have thought post-Operation Sindoor -- Pakistan will wait few more years. But Islamabad is not for learning lessons.
Only thing - taught, re-taught and indoctrinated in that country is Hate India.
A big democracy like Bharat can get distracted. Our humane feelings may rise -- Oh they are also human. Such emotion does not exist with Pakistanis.
"We had a major incident of terrorism on July 1, 2005, and the last one in 2013 in the hinterland. Except for Jammu and Kashmir, which had been a theatre of a proxy war or a covert warfare for Pakistan, which is a different ballgame, the whole country has remained secure from terrorist attacks," said NSA Ajit Doval on October 31.
He also said: "Enemies have remained very active, but fortunately, and it's more of a good fortune in the country that we can say that we have had no terrorist incidents in the hinterland".
These remarks could have been avoided.
The fact of the matter is both Shehbaz Sharif and his defacto boss Munir know only way to keep the Pakistan's own population distracted is to talk about its eastern enemy - that is Bharat ... and that too under Narendra Modi and not the likes of 'for chair (Kursi) anything' PM Manohan Singh.
Hence big questions vis-a-vis the security front is -- "which prism" are we using to study or keep an eye on Pakistan.
Moreover; we have to understand the implications of Narratives.
-- Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat etc etc ... do not mean -- we should allow Complicity to catch on.
-- A well known strategic expert puts it slight acidly -- "Most important thing is Narratives are important. They could be done on adversaries ... but we should not keep doing it".
His cautioning means -- The dangerous part is if we start believing some of the narratives ... That Pakistan is now scared and would not do anything.
But when we start believing the Narratives - there is a chance of leaving gaps to be exploited by adversaries.
