(New Delhi virtually rejects Extradition request)
India maybe on a Tricky situation over Death Sentence to Sheikh Hasina
There is always a need for a new dynamism in Indo-Bangladesh ties. “As a close neighbour India remains committed to the best
interest of people of Bangladesh including in peace, democracy, inclusion and
stability in that country. We will always engage constructively with all
stakeholders to that end”.

Thanks to Bangladesh and Sheikh Hasina -- "ULFA was crippled"
In 1999 under Sheikh Hasina regime -- for the first time the Bangladesh army was involved in trying to clear out Indian militant groups from northeast India in Chittagong Hill Tracts. However, Indian agencies later complained that the entire operation was reduced to a farce as ultras were given prior information.
But after 2009, when P Chidambaram was Home Minister and Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister- the Dhaka authorities cooperated and several ULFA leaders from Assam were handed over to BSF and other Indian security forces.
This crippled ULFA's spinal cord and the majority section of the ULFA outfit came out for peace talks. The parleys are officially on informally. However, a breakaway faction led by Paresh Baruah is pursuing anti-India designs.
ends

This was on the anticipated line and a forgone conclusion . There could not have been another verdict. The so called trial was formality only. Another forgone conclusion is that the Indian government will not allow her extradition .
