Navy pilots operated with high proficiency .... Aircraft carriers with MiG-29Ks prevented enemy aircraft from approaching :::: PM Modi to address the nation at 8 pm, Monday -- May 12th

India blamed Pakistan for the ceasefire violation hours after Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that both countries had reached an understanding to stop all firings and military actions on land, air and sea.

The situation along the LoC and International Border is stable now.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, May 12, held a key security meeting with NSA Ajit Doval, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, CDS Anil Chauhan and the tri-services chiefs.

India and Pakistan agreed to halt military actions hours after intense cross-border strikes. The escalation followed India's Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26, mostly tourists.

Highlights of the briefing by the DGMO, DGAO and DGNO:

May 12th

Air Marshal AK Bharti ::::

Air Defence Preparedness (firm and impenetrable)

Deployment involved IAF, Army, and Navy assets in a robust, multi-layered system:

Point defence: Low-level guns, shoulder-fired weapons.

Aerial defence: Fighter aircraft and long-range missiles.

Numerous Pakistani drones and UAVs neutralized using soft and hard-kill anti-UAV systems.

Backed by steady budgetary and policy support from the government for advanced weapons procurement.

Threats Countered:

Chinese-origin PL-15 air-to-air missiles reportedly missed targets, countered effectively.

Long-range rockets, loiter munitions, and Turkish-origin Yiha systems were neutralized.

Visual evidence of quadcopters being shot down by Indian systems shown.

Offensive Actions:

Targeted air strikes conducted across length and breadth of Pakistan.

Specific hits:

Nur Khan Air Base – video evidence shown.

Rahimyar Khan Air Base – a crater created on runway.

He also quoted:

"...The ocean is not accepting humility (विनय), three days have passed.

God Ram said in anger, 'There is no love without fear.'"

Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, DGMO of the Indian Army

Air defence actions must be understood in correct operational context.

Terror tactics evolving — civilians now being targeted (e.g. 2024 attacks in Jammu’s Shivkhori and Pahalgam).

India did not cross LoC or IB — defence was executed from within our territory.

Operational Highlights:

9–10 May: Multi-layered air defence grid effectively countered drone attack.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) drones couldn’t breach this defence grid.

Quoted reference: “From ashes to ashes, dust to dust” — illustrating total drone neutralization and imposibility to reach our locations and inflict damage

Some drones taken down by shoulder-fired weapons.

Unarmed aerial systems (UAS) were also neutralized.

Also Praised BSF — from DG to soldiers for their role.

Vice Admiral A. N. Pramod, AVSM

Persistent surveillance, detection, and identification conducted by maritime forces.

Multiple sensors and intelligence inputs used to respond to threats as they arise.

Operations conducted under a layered fleet air defence system, addressing threats from drones, missiles, and aircraft.

Fleet Composition & Readiness:

Fleet operates as a composite force with advanced radar systems.

Any aerial target is neutralized using cutting-edge Navy technology.

Carrier Battle Group forms the line of air defence.

Operational Excellence:

Navy pilots operated with high proficiency, both day and night.

Aircraft carriers, equipped with MiG-29Ks and airborne early warning fighters, prevented enemy aircraft from approaching.

No hostile aircraft could come near the Indian fleet.

Capability Validation & Regional Dominance:

Anti-missile and anti-aircraft defence capabilities validated in complex threat environments.

The carrier battle group maintained an uncontested, dominant presence in the region.

Pakistani aircrafts/systems were bottled up along the Makran coast, unable to engage.

Naval presence ensured that India could strike at will, if required.
