External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar had said:
“At the start of the operation, we had sent a message to Pakistan, saying, ‘We are striking at terrorist infrastructure and we are not striking at the military.’ So the military has the option of standing out and not interfering in this process.
They chose not to take that good advice.”
No sensible man ca find any fault with that. But Rahul Gandhi is genius. He had demonstrated such talent in the with regard the Rafale procurement and has even tendered apology in the Supreme Court.
But 'to be talented' uniquely as a dynast is more than just the talent and wisdom ! Hence he will keep doing these.
Moreover, on May 16 - the Modi government has given him 'inferiority complex'. How could they decide about Shashi Tharoor ... leaving his talent pool -
likes of K C Venugopal and Jai(rahim/ram) Ramesh.
Hence he came with a tweet.

Rahul and cameo maestro ex-cricketer |
Rahul -- displaying 'smart talent' (as Jairam oe even Kharge would believe) wrote in his missive ---
“Informing Pakistan at the start of our attack was a crime. EAM has publicly admitted that GOI did it. Who authorised it? How many aircraft did our air force lose as a result?” Rahul Gandhi said in a post on X.
Isn't genius when he tries to suggest that Dr Jaishankar has leaked out the info to Pakistan about India's military plans.
The government could have ignored. But because the matter is related to incumbent Minister (that too -foreign affairs) at this juncture of Indian history - the government took up the 'respond' job seriously.
The Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check Unit (under the ministry of Information and Broadcasting) also weighed in, stating that Jaishankar “has not made any such statement” and is being “misquoted.”
Following this -- the External Publicity division of the MEA said: “EAM Jaishankar had stated that we had warned Pakistan at the start, which is clearly the early phase after Op Sindoor’s commencement. This is being falsely represented as being before the commencement. This utter misrepresentation of facts is being called out.”
Also note :
A government statement released shortly after the strikes May 7th said:
“A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched OPERATION SINDOOR, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.
Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted.
Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.
These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will he held accountable”.
A day after Operation Sindoor began, Pakistan launched drone and missile attacks on Indian military and civilian infrastructure, which India successfully defended against, and retaliated by striking 11 Pakistani air bases.
Actually Dr Jaishankar's remarks makes it clear that India did not have any intention to fight Pakistan army. India's battle was against terror. The Pakistan army came in between.
A super-talented Rahul Gandhi may not understand what is so mortal.
