Yes, in the ultimate, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif says - "Salam Brahmos -- India waley" :::::: Shashi Tharoor says: "We are a country which has really been a force for constructive progress in the world... "

It's a shocking admission. And worse he did so in a public speech in a foreign country.

Shahbaz Sharif was ironically also displaying his 'defeated' Field Marshall on the occasion !!

India launched around 15 BrahMos missiles and other precision weapons on the night of May 9-10, targeting key Pakistani airbases.

India hit airbases with BrahMos before Pakistan could act, admits Shehbaz Sharif

"On the night of May 9-10, we decided to respond in a measured fashion to Indian aggression.

Our armed forces were prepared to act at 4.30 in the morning after Fajr prayers to teach a lesson. But before that hour even arrived, India once again launched a missile attack using BrahMos, targeting various provinces of Pakistan, including the airport in Rawalpindi," Sharif admitted speaking at an event in Azerbaijan.

Despite Pakistan's attempts to downplay the severity of the attack, the fear of BrahMos looms large in their strategic calculations.

In fact, the Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi was among the 11 military sites targeted by India in response to Pakistan launching drone and missile attacks on civilian areas along the western border.

The Indian missiles, made in collaboration with Russia, can strike targets up to 300 km away.

India launched around 15 BrahMos missiles from Su-30MKI jets for precision hits on airbases - all of which have been corroborated by satellite images.

The 'fire and forget' missiles also bypassed Pakistan's Chinese-origin air defence systems as it hit the military sites.

Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated after the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which claimed 26 lives.

India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 (actually May 6 late night) in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, targeting terrorist infrastructure at nine locations in territories controlled by Pakistan, killing more than 100 terrorists.

The operation also destroyed terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, from where terrorist attacks against India were planned and directed.

This triggered four days of clashes, with both sides using drones, missiles and long-range weapons and raising fears of an all-out war.

The terror instilled by the BrahMos missile has created a lasting fear in Pakistan, as the missile’s speed and accuracy make it nearly impossible to intercept.

BrahMos, known for its supersonic speed and devastating impact, can strike targets from air, sea, or land. This missile’s precision makes it a significant deterrent, as demonstrated by its effectiveness in Operation Sindoor.

The strikes on May 10 highlighted the growing strength of India’s defense forces, sending a clear message to Pakistan: India is ready and capable of responding with overwhelming force.

At Bogotá, Colombia Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said;

"...We are here looking for understanding... We have the impression that perhaps the situation was not fully understood when that one statement (Colombia extending condolences for deaths in Pakistan after Indian strikes on terror hotbeds) was made.

Understanding is extremely important for us.

We are a country which has really been a force for constructive progress in the world...

We certainly hope that other governments will tell those who give safe haven and protection to terrorists to stop doing so. That would be very helpful indeed, as well in the Security Council or outside it."
