"If India succeeds diplomatically.... population in Pakistan will start raising voice against Pak military" - Lt Gen R N Kapur (retd)

"If India succeeds diplomatically.... population in Pakistan will start raising voice against Pak military"  - Lt Gen R N Kapur (retd)

Former military commander Lt Gen R N Kapur (Retd) has said that there are chances that if common Pakistanis raise voice against Pak military, it will be difficult for Asim Munir to survive even if he has ensured a promotion for himself from the Shehbaz Sharif government.

Lt. General Kapur

- "India should keep an eye on Pakistan, their internal dynamics etc. I think if our outreach to the world's countries succeeds in convincingly conveying the success and purpose of the diplomatic, economic and military offensive by India, soon the population in Pakistan will start raising their voice against the Pakistan military.

"Then it will be difficult for Munir to survive even as he has decided to call himself a Field Marshall."

Answering questions, he said-- "Do not forget ... and memory is still fresh in my mind when the population there ransacked the house of the Corps Commander during the arrest of Imran Khan.

"We should not let the dust of war settle down." he said.

Elaborating further on this, he said -- "Operation Sindoor may stand suspended .... but intelligence agencies and others can keep an eye on what is happening in Pakistan.

Who knows the image of Pakistan army will be demolished soon".

To a question, he further stated :

"This may trigger an uprising after a while to bring the army under political control. It remains to be seen whether Field Marshal Munir or no Field Marshal can stand against the fury of common people's anguish and revolt."

When asked to comment about India suffering losses in the conflict; he said : "This is a boxing ring and even the winner has some bruises".
