Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday said business tycoon Gautam Adani should be arrested after his indictment in the US.
Hitting back at the former Congress president, BJP national spokesperson Tom Vadakkan accused the Congress of doing US investor George Soros's bidding.
"This is not an attack by the Congress but a Soros script being enacted in India... The US administration has also realised that this is a case that has been funded by Soros. This is a script that is outside India to defeat India economically," Vadakkan told India Today.
The BJP has linked Soros to Congress on several occasions as the American businessman has been a vocal critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Vadakkan also dared the Congress to file an FIR. "They have the legal option. Then there will be a probe and that probe will prove them wrong and the Soros connection will be exposed," he said.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday called for laws to curb objectionable content on social media and hoped that the Opposition would have a discussion on the same.
"There is a lot of difference between the culture of our country and the countries from where these social media platforms have come.
I hope the opposition can come on board and we can have a discussion on this. I would like the Standing Committee of Parliament to take up this issue and strict laws are made regarding the same," Vaishnaw said in the Lok Sabha.

"Ayushman Bharat is a public welfare scheme launched by PM Modi where Rs 5 lakh health cover annually is given to people, it was extended to all the senior citizens in the country, 33 out of 36 states have implemented it, but AAP government has not implemented it, and people are deprived of it.
All the seven MPs of Delhi knocked the door of HC, the hearing was today.
"The court has asked questions to the Delhi government, that why they are hesitating to take the financial help when the health arrangements are not up to the mark. Now the hearing will happen tomorrow," says New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj.
