Kejriwal-led AAP decides to take up party's electoral roadmap 'more seriously' in north east: Set to contest ensuing Mizoram polls in November

The AAm Aadmi Party (AAP) is likely to set up of a North East cell in Delhi to cater to "common interest" of the North East people who are either residing or arriving in the national capital for various works including treatment, education and jobs.

The party leadership has agreed in principle to set up a the North East Co ordination Committee.

Formal announcement for Mizoram polls may be made on Monday, sources said sharing some details about AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal holding talks with senior party leaders including state unit presidents and some key leaders from various north east units.

AAP is a key constituent of newly formed I.N.D.I.A - the opposition alliance which is determined to take on Narendra Modi and the BJP in next year's Lok Sabha polls. However, in several states, the 'political space' being left vacuum by Congress is being filled in by the AAP. And thus AAP and Congress often find themselves fighting each other more than fighting the common enemy BJP.

The Kejriwal-led outfit, which has emerged as a player post Anna Hazare movement against corruption, has grown in Gujarat at the cost of Congress and has in fact captured power in Punjab after pushing Congress into the margins.
