Burj Khalifa lights up with PM Modi's portraits on his 75th birthday
Dubai's Burj Khalifa lit up with images and birthday messages for PM Modi's 75th birthday, symbolising India-UAE friendship and drawing global attention to the celebration.
That's the world’s tallest building illuminated the city’s skyline with portraits of the Indian leader and birthday messages.
This is a great achievement for Indian diplomacy and in effect symbolizes the strengthening partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Namo was awarded with the UAE’s top civilian honour during his two day ( Aug 23-24, 2019) visit to the UAE.
Modi was awarded the Order of Zayed medal on August 24th by the Abu Dhabi’s crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This year on Sept 17th; UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended an open-hearted greeting on social media.
“Sincere congratulations to Narendra Modi on your birthday. I wish you continued good health and happiness, and ongoing success in advancing India’s progress and the prosperity of its people,” he posted on X.
The Burj Khalifa gesture was received across the board as a demonstration of the strengthening bond and good fellowship between the two countries.
Birthday wishes for PM Modi poured in from all over the world. World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised Modi's leadership while wishing him. "Happy 75th birthday, Prime Minister @narendramodi! I am impressed by your leadership in action. Even on your special day, you are initiating an important initiative to promote and protect women's health in India," he posted.
The United Kingdom's King Charles also symbolically marked the occasion. He gifted a Kadamb tree to the Indian Prime Minister, motivated by the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. The British High Commission informed on X, "His Majesty The King has been graciously pleased to send a Kadamb tree to India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.
The gesture shows their mutual dedication to environmental protection.
