Name a country where a 'failed student' can walk away with Gold medal ... that's Pakistan for you :::  Army chief Gen Asim Munir gets promoted to Field Marshal ... That's also a consolation prize for Shehbaz Sharif -- if 'Munir bhai' wanted he could have staged a coup !!

You push your country to a war. You get hit and get left 'devastated'. And then you get/rob a promotion !!

What a country !! Rouge nation; my neighbour !!

But look around there can be a good parallel story or a shining comparison in this side of the border too.

In 2024 general elections - Rahul Gandhi for third time 'lost' to record a convincing win or bring his party to power or oust/stall Narendra Modi.

He was rewarded in a democratic style of a dynasty !!

His three members -- could have membership in Parliament. He and his dotting sister Priyanka in Lok Sabha and mom Sonia Gandhi Rajya Sabha.

In 2014, Rahul was Vice President of Congress and the Modi wave swept away Dr Manmohan Singh's government. In 2017, Rahul had become party president.

In 2019, Rahul and Congress lost again. Rahul "resigned" in a farcical play called obligation and continued there in effect.

Now he controls AICC president. Poor Shashi Tharoor, who had a dream to be Congress president, is now almost 'expelled'.

K C Venugopal is consulting astrologers.

Such 'affectionate' stories are also in Trinamool Congress. Yusuf Pathan has been replaced by 'bhaipo' Abhishek Banerjee.

'still lucky' - A Faithful PM

According to local media, Gen Munir has been promoted for "successfully" leading Pakistan's armed forces in the recent military conflict with India. The decision was taken for his "exemplary role" in the conflict with India, local media reports said.

Only Pakistan media - like a few Sickular media in India (vis-a-vis Rahul Gandhi and dynasty) can report like that. Ting tong !!

Looking for such a newspaper - take the next flight to Kolkata !!

Notably, while Pakistan has been claiming victory in the recent conflict, India has busted its lies with evidence at various forums.

This came just days after the de-facto ruler of Pakistan was handed more power when the country's Supreme Court delivered a landmark ruling, endorsing the trials of civilians in military courts. This was expected to give a free hand to the Asim Munir-led military establishment, which has already suppressed democracy in Pakistan.

Now in the words of Lt Gen Abhay Krishna (retd), former chief in Eastern Command and also in two others, -

"Pakistan, on the other hand, thrives on noisy support from Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Gulf because it plays a rented role in the great power theatre.

"It's the classic ‘useful idiot’, kept on the leash by others to serve their external interests ..... Pakistan has lost in every department of the game. Western and American experts have even said that Pakistan ran away seeking peace and ceasefire, like dogs do with tails between their legs". (as told to the blogger)

But there are American way of distorting facts too.

'New York Times' carried a piece under the headline --

"Pakistan feels like it's winning".

That's what we can say 'comedy of firangis'.

Tough job ahead for Shashi Tharoor and others as they go overseas for pursuing the battle of narratives.
