China-love left Pakis devastated; 'beware my north east' ::::: Are Nagas and other tribals in northeast 'Happy' about Great Indian success in 'Operation Sindoor' .... Why hesitate in applauding the virtual collapse of Pakistan ?

News is a 'Globe' ::  It keeps rotating and ... coming back

China shown its place .... 2025 - 'new era --- new Bharat'

SITUATIONSHIP

How does a gentleman kill himself ---- he climbs at the top of his ego and jumps off. That's Donald Trump.

This message should go to most Nagas, Mizos and others who were still shy to hail the 'Modi storm' in the name of 'Operation Sindoor'.

For days since May 7th and later after May 10th there have been some kind of a lull.

I was not quite surprised. The initial joke was that Narendra Modi has "cowardly surrendered". North East India's greatest demerit has been the politics around 'New Delhi bashing'.

And the society gladly accepted that as a norm.

The general messaging is clear -- "except money we do not need anything from India and Delhi".

And there is no guarantee that 'money' will not be used and misused often to target Indians - civilians - helpless rickshawallahs and bank babus and even school teachers.

And the chances are more now to "not to believe" achievements of Indian armed forces because -- the government in Delhi is headed by Narendra Modi.

Oh, that "Hindutva man" ; man who ordered killings of Christians (most being fake cases) and creation of a section of communists and English speaking intellectual propaganda machine !

They have connections to foreign funding and most often with Congress.

Take the example of Covid 19;  I got ready assignments from media houses connected to Europe (obviously they did not swear by RSS's Hindutva or even American Baptists) - that the stories about "corruption"-- purchase and selling of Oxygen cylinders and other medical equipment dispatched from US and other countries should be dug out and reported. Courteous as they always are - the assurance of payments were heavy !

Later they discovered -- I was incompetent.

The focus here is the conduct of north east leaders when it came to hailing the glorious achievements of Indian armed forces. Of course, there is a background.

The Naga insurgent groups (freedom fighters of NNC and various NSCN factions) or for that matter Mizoram and other groups do not have fond memory of engagement in the 1960s and 1970s. So .....

But what about others -- the Neta class of Congress and now the neo-nationaists BJP (read power hungers of north east) -- not much noise have been heard of India's success.

Skepticism is sometime -- far higher scale than Rahul Gandhis, Jairam Rameshs and even communists.

The communists have lost numbers and credibility. This time it was extreme loss of face as Chinese 'maal' procured by Pakistan simply did not work.

One 'success model' of Operation Sindoor

The north east people also dream a lot about China. The influence of church and regular praying even for a cup of tea (say among Nagas) have not deterred them to presume when we are in trouble; China would land and give us 'freedom' from Hindu-India.

Around this time of dream session; they forget that there are chances Chinese will only make some people bonded labourers. Beijing has such reputation with Sri Lankans or many smaller Latin American and African countries. But in India's north east; Beijing and even border areas along Myanmar are "like heaven". They are made to believe.

The fault is not with the common people. The fault lies with the leaders. These leaders and also intellectuals speak different languages at different times.

They are almost like Indira's children one day and within years they become Ram Madhav's friends. Then they can befriend Nalin Kohlis etc etc.

The problem is elsewhere. But in the ultimate the locals at the mass level continue to be fooled.

It took me quite a few days work to enlist a formal comment via-a-vis India's decisive victory --- which till now half a dozen reputed global strategic experts have hailed.

Thanks to Mr Imkong L. Imchen, a former Nagaland Minister and present BJP legislator. The moment I called him up to react on government deciding to nominate Shashi Tharoor to lead the parliamentary panel for outreach overseas; he hailed the move calling it a "master-stroke".

"Oh, well that is a master stroke. A very powerful message will go abroad. Shashi Tharoor is a former UN diplomat and has a status. He is a famous writer and good orator. The entire team of MPs will put up a grand show," Imchen told this journalist over phone.

Another commentator has been Kevechutso Doulo and he also said readily within hours Prime Minister Modi made his May 12 speech.

"Political parties may have different options and ideology but when the Nation is under threat the primary duty of its citizens must come together as one people. Nation-first; I support the idea or 'Bharat' the patriotism of Indians".

Congrats to these individuals.

Doulho : Candid and capable

In New Delhi, I have friends wondering why the response from north east leaders vis-a-vis India's win is not so convincing and enthusiastic.

My argument to them is -- it is high time the Modi government should give a powerful message -- if you want money and development projects from New Delhi -- do not treat New Delhi just a casual 'interest free money lender/donor'.

The Govt of India is certainly more than that.  Be proud being an Indian. There is some peculiarity about the community that a football tournament in Kohima organised by Assam Rifles in the name of Kargil martyr does not evoke so much enthusiastic response.

If the people and community do not change; the Govt of India must change.

A criminal offence by Congress has been over the decades it did not focus on 'integrating people' with the mainstream. Rather it has a track record of 'rewarding' those netas who were directly and indirectly responsible for creating communal problems.

From Meghalaya, there is a big name.

The local-outsiders debate simply do not suit this era. If your state wants investments from private players; the individual workers should feel 'welcome' and safe first. The ILP is a failed mechanism to stop influx of Bangladeshis. Do not use it to harras those who have been contributing to education and people's economy.

Sheer ignoring this fact and looking the other way would not matter much. Even Naga underground groups now realise and have started talking about Miya influence.

"Plain manu" is getting disillusioned. There is a sense of humiliation and injustice. Everyone is developing a sense of bitterness.

Volcanoes can be dormant too.

There is yet another twist in the fable and that has made me pen this blog.

Once Imchen's remarks went viral (vis-a-vis my blog) -- I am being flooded with comments and remarks glorifying Indian army and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Hence the key message -- once it is assured -- someone has taken the risk - the initial breaking of the ice has been done ... well, the ball is set rolling for credit.
