Video of Kharge saying ‘Abki Baar, 400 Paar’, referring to BJP and PM laughing in Rajya Sabha goes viral ::::: Allahabad High Court says Puja may be held in Gyanvapi mosque 'cellar'

A video of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge saying ‘Abki Baar, 400 Paar’, referring to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, has gone viral on social media.

BJP's official X handle shared a brief video of Rajya Sabha proceedings wherein Congress president and Leader of Opposition, Kharge is heard saying,"You have majority, with 330-334 seats. This time, it will be (perhaps he meant, you are claiming) over 400."

The clipped portion evoked laughter among those seated in the Treasury bench, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of the House Piyush Goyal. The Commerce Minister is also seen gesturing both his hands.

BJP president J P Nadda, whose tenure as Upper House member ends this month, also is seen laughing next to Prime Minister Modi. As Congress member Digvijaya Singh (sitting behind Kharge) is found smiling and other BJP members also enjoying the moment, Kharge throws challenge, "arey tum chun ke aao (You all should contest and come after winning)".

The BJP is aiming to achieve its highest ever seat tally in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, even surpassing its 2019 performance of 303 seats. The party led by Jagat Prakash Nadda has already launched its election campaign with a theme song highlighting the NDA government's achievements.

The song “Sapne Nahi Haqeeqat Bunte Hai, Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hain (we do not spin dreams, but weave reality, which is why people choose Modi)” was launched in the PM’s presence by Nadda on January 26.

High Court says puja inside Gyanvapi complex to continue

The Allahabad High Court refused to give relief to the Gyanvapi mosque committee which challenged a court order allowing the Hindus to perform puja in the southern cellar of the mosque complex in Varanasi.

A single bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal ordered the Advocate General to maintain law and order within and outside the Gyanvapi mosque premises. The next hearing of the case will be on February 6.

Earlier, the mosque committee had approached the Supreme Court challenging a district judge's order that allowed puja to be conducted in the southern cellar of Gyanvapi mosque. However, the mosque committee was asked to approach the Allahabad High Court instead.
