Imran Khan is alive but 'facing mental torture in solitary confinement' -- his sister says after 'meeting' him :::: "Imran Khan is fine, his health is good. he is being tortured mentally"

Amid death rumours Imran Khan's sister was allowed to meet the jailed ex-PM even as his supporters and party workers threatened to organise mass protests across Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Imran Khan's sister Uzma Khan was allowed to meet the jailed former Pakistani Prime Minister in Adiala Jail on Tuesday evening as his party members threatened to organise mass protests across Rawalpindi despite restrictions.

Uzma Khan was taken inside the jail to meet her brother amid widespread speculation that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was murdered in custody.

After meeting him, she claimed that Imran Khan was kept in solitary confinement and was being mentally tortured. She also put an end to death rumours, saying he is fine.

"Imran Khan is fine, his health is good. He has been kept in solitary confinement, he is being tortured mentally," she told reporters after meeting him in jail.

"Imran Khan said he has no contact with anyone, nor has he met anyone. He said they are mentally torturing him. He is angry and he said Asim Munir is responsible for everything that is happening," she added.

Previously, there were reports that the jail authorities granted permission under a strict gag condition. However, Uzma said no conditions were imposed. "We don't go by conditions," she said while entering the heavily guarded prison complex.

Tensions have flared outside Adiala Jail since last week amid rumours that Imran, who has been languishing for over two years in a web of corruption and terrorism cases, was murdered inside the prison. The rumours coincided with Imran's family members being denied access to him for the last several weeks despite court orders.
