NDPP formally gives nod to 'amalgamation and merger with NPF' :::: Why 'Mani Shankar Aiyar's name missing ... Is neo-Rio set to dump old woods ? ::: "Deeds, not words" does a vanishing act !! Poor R N Ravi, 'poorer' A K Mishra

"The merging of the two regional political parties in Nagaland will only help in further cementing our dreams and aspirations of a vibrant and developed people."

 Farewell to

"Facta Non Verba"  -- the
Latin phrase that translates to "deeds, not words" or "acts, not words" --- said to be a brainchild of Alemtemshi Jamir -- not marginalised ex-Babu-turned-neta

NPF's age old thematic source of guidance is 'fide non armis means' -- meaning "by faith, not by arms". It expresses the idea that goals should be pursued through conviction and trust rather

... than by force or violence.

Likes of A Kevichusa probably did not know the power of capitalism world.

Vamuzo and Vizol may joke up there:

"Our founding fathers hated Corruption and Congress .... but 'Money' has a cementing strength".

The rhetoric remains: "...the NDPP welcomes and accepts the offer of the NPF to amalgamate and merge as one Regional political party in the greater interest of the Naga cause and the Naga people," says the resolution adopted at the NDPP meeting.

The signatories are :

K G Kenye (Convener) --- also the former Rajya Sabha member and was nominated to the Upper House by veteran Shurhozelie (the last towering and committed custodian of the Cock symbol)

Ahovi Zhimomi, H Chuba Chang, Benjamin Lorin and Merenjoshi R Jamir.

The fact that 'Mani Shankar Aiyar's missing in such an important document could be possible early signals that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio - who will be NPF president from or after Oct 21 --- could possibly get rid of old liabilities.

Things are still premature !!

Dream Come True : Neiphiu Rio

The resolution says :

"The sheer dynamisms of the President, Mr. Chingwang Konyak and the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and their political presence has brought the Party thus far and the NDPP extends its unwavering support to the leadership and repose our endorsement to them in ensuring a smooth transition of the merger with the NPF."

It stated:

"The merging of the two regional political parties in the State will only help in further cementing our dreams and aspirations of a vibrant and developed people".

The Resolution further says:

"The NDPP continues to stand firm in our commitment to the Naga people to work tirelessly in achieving our aspirations of moving "Towards a State of Excellence" and those commitments will only be further strengthened under a unified banner of a singular Regional political party in the State.

It is only through a unified power that can bring about the much needed intensive attention in taking the Naga people forward."

Tail Piece

In Delhi around 2014-2015 when Neiphiu Rio was still 'active' as a lawmaker -- people joked about three top Netas --

Duffer
Bluffer
and Muffler

D - for Rahul Gandhi, M for Arvind Kejriwal (AAP has Nagaland unit under former MLA Asu Keyho) and 'B' -- people teased about "our own Hindutva champion".

..... Kohima should get something of these varieties by winter end.

I miss mischief gurus and veteran journalists of our time - Late Lelie Legisie or Riato Jasokie Zinyu

... by now they would have come out with a suitable version.
