Top of all surprises, BJP picks up first time MLA Bhajan Lal Sharma as next Chief Minister of Rajasthan

PM's formula:  -- Karyakarta Plus Labhhartis (Beneficiaries) ..... plus Team work seem to decide the course of developments in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Breaking conventional thinking, party worked on formulas revolving around party cadres, loyalty to RSS ideology, discipline and low profile personalities.  The Modi-Shah grip is final, and was never stronger than now.

It's a case of reposing faith in an old and trusted Sangh hand. Sanganer constituency, from where Bhajanlal Sharma won in the just held Rajasthan polls, has been a stronghold for the BJP, with the party has been wining consecutively since 2003.

In a strategic move, the party replaced the sitting MLA and had fielded Bhajanlal Sharma as their new candidate. Script was well planned and superbly executed.

Bhajan Lal Sharma is with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for years and has been also part of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). In neighbouring Gujarat, the BJP sprang a surprise in 2021 and had selected first time MLA Bhupendra Patel.

In 2022 assembly polls, the saffron party recorded an all time best performance picking up 156 seats in the 182-member Gujarat assembly.

Bhajan Lal Sharma's name as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan was proposed by BJP's stalwart Vasundhara Raje, who was also among the contenders for the top post. His name was announced by central observer and former BJP chief and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

"I would like to assure you that all the MLAs of Rajasthan will definitely meet the expectations that the people have with the BJP. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will ensure holistic development of Rajasthan in all areas," Bhajanlal said.

Notably, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, NP Mahant Balaknath, Jaipur leader Diya Kumari, Anita Bhadel and Manju Baghmar were among other names in the list of contenders for the CM post in Rajasthan.

Vasudev Devnani will be the Speaker. He hails from Ajmer and has previously served as the state Education Minister.

Besides, Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa have been named as Bhajan Lal Sharma's two deputies.

Mega surprise ::: Mohan Yadav, BJP MLA from Ujjain South, will be new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh

"It is only the BJP party which can give such a big responsibility to a small worker like me. I will take forward the development journey of the state...", says Mohan Yadav, who was elected as BJP legislature party leader in Madhya Pradesh on Monday.

The saffron party legislators in Madhya Pradesh, central observers and the high command have stuck another mega surprise.

Now BJP MLA from Ujjain South,  Mohan Yadav, will be the new Chief Minister of the central Indian state replacing party veteran Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The 58-year-old Yadav is an OBC leader. He also served as a minister for higher education in the outgoing Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's government.

Ever since the results, speculation has been rife over who the next CM would be – Shivraj, whose ‘laadli behna’ scheme played a key role in the party’s win, or a new face.

According to Rakesh Singh, the MLA from Jabalpur, it was in fact Chouhan who “kept this proposal for the CM name”.
