Fed Up Nagas show :::: A prelude !! "Ketia bhava nae" ::::: Even at social level, the basic Naga instinct - the eccentricity is missing ::: "Naga politicians' only priority is - we should be rich enough to win the next election"

FUN - The Fed Up Nagas should get a few answers .... from the June 27 rally and beyond

"We should get an almost settled idea of what Nagaland is, where it is heading – or even what 'alternatives politics' via Solution should be offering." -- One activist associated with Fed Up Nagas.

One Kohima-based social activist notes:

It seems Nagaland can no longer agree on who its real well-wishers are. That's the whole problem.

Politicians, elected MLAs and ministers are just some of the most enduring characters in contemporary settings. But they have no clues of the political direction. There is only direction - I should be rich enough to win the next election.

Ms Ninsa (student/Meluri) :::

"Nagas have lost the control system. The real challenge is get that updated like new versions on app. we keep doing on our mobile. The leadership is not only old; they have lost touch.

"I just do not mean political leadership or the Ministers and chief minister. Even at social level, the basic Naga instinct - the eccentricity is missing."

"Ketia bhi bahava nae (We never thought things would turn out like this)," a former Nagaland minister from Chakhesang region.

"A movement built around sacrifices and hard work regeneration is now in question. Some call it extortion game and some ridicule it. In New Delhi officials no longer respect people talking in favour Naga movement.

How much change people are prepared to accept ??

Another refrain from various quarters has been - A big gap has been created in the society at every level. None believes anyone.

And politicians and other intellectuals, social leaders have not succeeded in bridging that yawning gap.

A female Educationist and a government employee says:

"Nagas are now in a tightrope walk between three pillars - tragedy, bravery and peril. You want to blame me; please do do. I want to blame A or B; I will do so.

"We are in a tough condition.... bad stuff keeps happening all the time, but we should not give up Hope. Things can get better."

A retired banker :

" I don't know... what the Fed Up Nagas will achieve. Earlier too, such rallies have been organised. The Civil society in Nagaland has not been able to keep great influence .... At times, I wonder why ? Often I tell my ex colleagues and friends, we have made economic mistakes, and a few political mistakes...

But the worst was emotional mistake. We are bankrupt of good ideas and good people".

A Non-Naga Shopkeeper in Dimapur says:

"Even Non Nagas in Nagaland feel every inch strongly that the state should improve and that Peace and Progress should come. But society has its own issues. But I remember a saying in Rajasthan --- when a son and a father don't get along and fight on everything; be sure they have EVERYTHING in common.... Differences will come, that's natural ... but one day ... all these will go away. Violence will vanish if we all want such a thing to happen",
