Union Minister Bhupender Yadav joins issue with Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi :
"Rahul Gandhi’s lies about ‘electoral fraud’ would be laughable if they were not so dangerous for Indian democracy"
"For a long time, the opposition leader Rahul Gandhi was trying to drop an atomic bomb. A friend told me yesterday that he is trying to cut the branch on which he is sitting.
Frankly, the arrogance shown by the opposition leader towards the hardworking officers of the Election Commission is unacceptable. Rahul Gandhi has said, and I quote, 'When I come to power, there will be consequences for Election Commission officers, big and small.'
Does such language suit a leader towards constitutional institutions and their employees?"
Bhupender Yadav also said:
"The issue is, if there is duplication, who will investigate it? The Election Commission will. Everyone should be involved in the Election Commission’s process. They should explain why constituencies with 30,000 to 40,000 extra votes are still winning.
Their allegation is the same, that these wins are due to manipulation. The results show that everyone wins, BJP, Congress but where the votes increased, they won. This is their claim..."
Why is it that growth in Indian manufacturing lags even Indian agriculture? Why are Indian youth unskilled despite college degrees ?
Why are Indian roads of poor quality? How can we improve the ease of doing business?
Why you have to visit a bank multiple times for small minor 'clerical' matters for mistakes done by banks themselves ?
Can Indian consumers get a tax break in terms of a cut in GST ? Can there be a national policy on human resources to ensure India is able to leverage its young population instead of witnessing inter-state or language-based unrest?
Union Minister Bhupender Yadav says, "In this country, whenever the honor of the army is attacked, Rahul Gandhi steps in, and his remarks are well known.
However, when it comes to comments on the Supreme Court, Congress leaders do not hesitate to speak disrespectfully.
Our army, Election Commission, and Parliament are autonomous and work independently. We are all governed by these institutions.
Therefore, when an independent body follows any political process, everyone should respect that process...".
"Rahul Gandhi claimed that one crore voters were added in Maharashtra. It is clearly mentioned on the Election Commission's website that 40 lakh voters were added. Anyone can check it," Bhupender Yadav said.
He also said:
"Congress is trying to belittle our constitutional bodies in a systematic way for a family".
On Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's allegations on the EC,
Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu says, "When the same Election Commission kept conducting elections, Congress party remained in power for 50 years.
Was it not fraudulent then? Today, when they have been ousted from power, they are accusing EC of bogus voting. Such statements should not be made. He is the LoP.
He should not mislead the people of the country like this...Such allegations are baseless and false...They know that they are going to lose in Bihar. So, to hide that, they are looking for excuses...".
