BJP leader Nishikant Dubey demands suo moto action from Supreme Court against Priyanka Gandhi ::: Did Indira Gandhi plea Nixon's help in 1971

"The Supreme Court should take suo-moto cognisance of Priyanka Gandhi's statement and the statements made by the entire UPA alliance today. The way SC took cognisance against me, it should do the same against them as well...,"-

- BJP lawmaker Nishikant Dubey says demanding actions against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for her remarks against apex court.

On Congress MP's statement, he also said:

"The Supreme Court said that you (Rahul Gandhi) are the Leader of Opposition. If you give any statement on the country's security, you must have proof... The most important thing is that during the Supreme Court debate over the Waqf Bill, people from Murshidabad, Malda, and other places were moving out and coming to my place (Jharkhand) because of the riots in their areas.

I just gave a statement that the kind of remarks given by the Supreme Court is affecting the laws made by the Parliament. There was a hue and cry over my statement.

A 6-page order was given by the SC Chief Justice against me, and a resolution was passed by the Supreme Court Bar Association. But nothing happened today...

When a man coming from a village gives any statement, it seems as if the Constitution comes under danger, but when someone from a big family makes such a statement, neither the Supreme Court takes cognisance nor the Bar Association nor any NGO...

The Supreme Court should take suo-moto cognisance of Priyanka Gandhi's statement ....".

He said :  "Priyanka Gandhi's comments reflect the Congress party's intent to replace Dr. Ambedkar's Constitution with Nehru's version.

The Constitution is under threat, and the Supreme Court must reflect on such statements... I urge the Supreme Court to act on this as well. Otherwise, it will appear that there are different laws for the rich and the poor, for political dynasties and ordinary citizens."

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had said:  "With all due respect to the judiciary, it is not for them to determine who is a true Indian and who is not. The judges will not decide that. Rahul Gandhi has always respected the army and our soldiers... The LoP's responsibility to question the government, and that is what he does."

The Supreme Court on Monday reprimanded rebuked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his claim that more than 2,000 kilometres of Indian territory had been annexed by China, stating that a "true Indian" would not make such a remark.

"How did you know about 2,000 km being annexed by the Chinese?," the top court asked, while hearing Rahul Gandhi's plea challenging the defamation case on the matter.

It stressed, "If you're a true Indian, you wouldn't say it".

The BJP leder (Dubey) last week claimed that former PM Indira Gandhi sought help from the US for a ceasefire during the 1971 India-Pakistan war even as India had captured 93,000 Pakistani soldiers.

Dubey referred to a letter written by Indira Gandhi to US President Richard Nixon on December 5, 1971, requesting help in facilitating a ceasefire.

He claimed Indira's letter had stated that - "Indian govt was considered dangerous....The Indian government was described as being in danger".

Nishikant Dubey's statement came after Rahul Gandhi's statement in the Lok Sabha on July 29, in which Rahul said the Modi government lacks the political will to confront Pakistan.

Dubey also alleged that during the Gandhi family's rule, the Congress government "distorted" the part of India's history that Indira Gandhi had written a letter to Nixon.

The Gandhi family has been surrendering to other countries throughout their lives, he said.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leaders are attacking PM Narendra Modi for allegedly surrendering India's interests via-a-vis Operation Sindoor and abruptly agreeing to the ceasefire.
