A case has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station, PHQ Nagaland regarding a post published in "The Patriotic Nagas" Facebook Page wherein certain objectionable remarks were made against Dr S C Jamir and the Ao women in general.
During the course of investigation, the person who published the post, has been
identified and was arrested from Delhi ....
on 30th November, 2024 by Nagaland Police and brought back to Nagaland and is presently in Judicial Custody, a police release said on Dec 5, Thursday.

Further investigation is in progress and collection of forensic evidence/expert opinion is underway. Nagaland Police would like to reiterate that the case will be brought to a logical conclusion as per the relevant provisions of law, police said.
The public is requested to maintain harmony in the interest of Law and Order in the State, the release stated.
The accused is of 37 years of age.
Sources said - "immediate arrest" of the accused has been necessary to "secure and collect all digital evidence and that the accused might tamper with evidence in the ongoing investigation".
The investigating officer has moved an application seeking transit remand of the accused.
