Modi tops global approval rating with 70% score

New Delhi: The BJP leaders, Union Ministers and Chief Ministers were rejoiced toget the news that there is as much as 70 percent approval rating in Global Leader Approval Tracker for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


This has of course put him at the top of the list of most 'loved and popular' world leaders. 



"A people’s favourite due to policies of inclusive development and strong leadership during the pandemic,"tweeted Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

While PM Modi stood tall among all with 70 percent approval,others to follow him on the ladder were Mexican president López Obrador (66%),

Italy's Mario Draghi (58%), Angela Merkel of Germany: 54% and Scott Morrison ofAustralia stood fifth with 47 percent.

The US President Joe Biden fell on number 6 with 44% followed by several others.

It has been announced that the approval ratings are based on a seven-day moving average of adult residents in each country, and sample sizes would also vary by country.

The good news came up on November 4, 2021 and it is to be noted that on Nov 7 (Sunday), the BJP held its crucial national executive meet in Delhi.

This is the third time in 2021 that PM Modi emerged with the 'highest approval' rating in the polls 

conducted by Morning Consult Political Intelligence. 

Earlier in September, Mr Modi had scored the 70% approval rating, the highest among 13 world leaders.


Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said: "His (Modi's) vision, decisive leadership and global stature has continuously been recognised worldwide".

"Hon'ble PM Shri @NarendraModi ji tops the chart of global leader approval and becomes the most admired world leader with an approval rating of 70%. Indians are proud to have him as their Pradhan Sevak," tweeted Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb. 

Others in the list include: Justin Trudeau (Canada): 43%, Fumio Kishida (Japan): 42%

Moon Jae-In (South Korea): 41%, Boris Johnson (United Kingdom): 40%, Pedro Sánchez (Spain): 37%

Emanuel Macron (France): 36%, Jair Bolsonaro (Brazil): 35%.


The report said, Joe Biden's approval rating slipped by a few points which has now removed him from the list of the top 5 global leaders 


Among others, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted: "His grand vision & passionate commitment to steer India to new heights have earned Hon PM Sri @narendramodi an approval rating of 70%, highest among world leaders". 

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy wrote: "Leader of the world's largest democracy is also the world leader with the highest approval rating".

India takes 'serious note' of Pak opening fire at Maharashtra fishermen


New Delhi:

India has taken "serious note" of an incident in which the Pakistani Maritime Security Agency in an "unprovoked" firing incident, opened fire at an Indian fishing boat resulting in the death of one Indian fisherman and another injured. 


The injured fisherman is being treated at hospital in Okha, Gujarat, sources said.


The Indian government will "take up" the issue diplomatically with the Pakistan side. 


"The matter is under investigation and further details will be shared in due course," a source said.


Reports from Maharashtra said, a 32-year-old fisherman from Maharashtra was killed.


The incident occurred around 4 pm on Saturday. 


A fisherman from Thane near Mumbai who was on a fishing boat 'Jalpari,' was killed after the 

Pakistani Maritime personnel opened fire on him and other crew members.
