PM Modi's Assam poll line --- "Congress is increasingly becoming a mere puppet ... forces across the globe are unable to digest India's rapid progress"

"Mooh tod jawab dena hae ...."

“Today, we laid the foundation for a high-speed corridor, worth Rs 24,000 crore. Give Congress a pen and paper and ask them to write 24,000 crore. They will not be able to write it.”

Pitching for Hindu Bengali votes  -- who have been captive voters for the saffron party - PM said :

"We are working tirelessly to re-establish the Barak Valley as a major hub for trade and commerce."

Govt of India minimising impact of war, but Congress failed to act as responsible party

PM Narendra Modi blew the poll bugle in Assam by stepping up attack against the Congress party.

"The forces across the globe are unable to digest India's rapid development, the Congress is increasingly becoming a mere puppet in the hands of these very forces...", Modi said at a public function in Silchar.

"... Be it roads, railways, or colleges, each of these projects is poised to transform the Barak Valley into a major logistics and trade hub for the North East. Consequently, this will generate countless opportunities for employment and self-employment for the youth of this region". - Modi

(*** Even under BJP and especially under Himanta Biswa Sarma - the state government apparatus in Dispur has faced allegation of 'step motherly treatment' for Bengali-dominated Barak/Cachar valley )

"Congress misguided youths of Assam into path of violence, terrorism, while today Assam is an ocean of opportunities"

Narendra Modi performed the Bhoomi Poojan of the Shillong-Silchar Corridor, the first access-controlled Greenfield four-lane High-Speed Corridor in North-East India

The 166 km corridor, with an investment of around Rs 22,860 crore, will significantly improve connectivity between Meghalaya and Assam.

The project will reduce the distance between Guwahati and Silchar and cut travel time from 8.5 hours to approximately 5 hours, boosting economic growth and cross-border trade in the region.

He said:

"Nowadays, conditions of war prevail all around the world. Our government is making every possible effort to ensure that the citizens of our country face the fewest hardships possible. Our objective is to minimise the impact of this war on the nation's citizens.

"At this critical juncture, it was expected that the Congress party would fulfill the role of a responsible political entity.

"However, Congress has once again failed in this vital task concerning the national interest. The Congress is making every attempt to create panic within the country, hoping the nation gets entangled in difficulties, so that they can subsequently heap endless abuse upon Modi...".

"...You have ousted the Congress from Assam. Today, every state in the country is teaching the Congress a lesson. The Congress is losing election after election.

In the near future, Congress is poised to hit a century of defeats.

Driven by the desperation of defeat, the Congress has launched an offensive against the nation itself."

"The Congress leaders have dedicated themselves to the task of maligning the country...

In a bid to discredit the AI summit, the Congress staged a bizarre protest—tearing their own clothes in public.

It appears the Congress has nothing left to do now but tear its own clothes in desperation. The entire nation has condemned this."

Modi also said:

"The BJP’s mantra is to prioritise those who are lagging behind in the race of development.

The Congress governments used to view the border areas as the country's last villages. We, however, regard these border villages as the country's first villages.

And for this very reason, the next phase of the Vibrant Villages Programme, aimed at the development of border areas, was launched right here from the Cachar district...

"There are also a large number of people present here who work in the tea gardens. The Assam government has accomplished a historic feat by granting land rights to thousands of families associated with these tea gardens."

"The Congress party had left the North East to its own fate. When the country attained independence, the Congress permitted the drawing of the boundary in such a manner that the Barak Valley’s vital link to the sea was completely severed.

"The Barak Valley- once renowned as a major trade route and an industrial hub-was stripped of its very strength.

Even after independence, Congress governments remained in power for decades; yet, nothing substantial was done to foster the development of the Barak Valley.

The BJP’s double-engine government is now transforming this situation.

"We are working tirelessly to re-establish the Barak Valley as a major hub for trade and commerce.

Today, the Bhoomi Pujan was performed for the Shillong-Silchar High-Speed Corridor—a project worth approximately Rs 24,000 crore. Just ask the Congress leaders about this. Hand them a pen and paper, and ask them to write down Rs 24,000 crore, and they won't even be able to do it."

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said:

"India is moving forward with the resolve to transform itself into a developed nation. On behalf of Assam, it is our endeavour that as India becomes developed, our Assam, too, will emerge as a strong and robust state. This is our goal.

Elections in Assam are just around the corner. On behalf of the Barak Valley and the people of Assam, I wish to convey this message to the Prime Minister: The people of Assam will bring back the Modi government...".
