Back to basics, back to religious nationalism :::::: 'Delhi Durbar' tales find patrons on Amchi Mumbai pavements

BJP top brass, 12 CMs and PM himself are in Varanasi !!

Right from the day of the inauguration on Dec. 13 until Jan. 14, a festival will be held daily in the ancient city to be telecast live to 51,000 cities, towns and villages across the country, said BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh.

The festival and telecast will highlight how Modi has drawn out a “visionary plan” to re-establish India’s ancient culture in the global arena.

Amit Shah said Hindus are now "without fear," reminding them of their past under Muslim rulers known to destroy Hindu temples. Another truth is --

Don’t forget a large number of farmers are Hindus and religious pride does matter to them also. The onslaught of religion - post return of farmers - has left even the main opposition, Congress, with little choice but to join the rhetoric.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, at a public meeting in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur on Dec. 12, said: “I am Hindu but not a Hindutvawadi .....

Some BJP and VHP leaders were too happy to attack him and the Congress party.

But, the Indian political has already moved on from agricultural or economic concerns to ensure their own survival. Politics is 'pragmatism' and that is linked to religion, the real political opium !!

In Haryana state ruled by the BJP, the focus has shifted from farm issues to namaz, the ritual prayers prescribed by Islam to be observed five times a day, after Muslims were officially banned from performing them at the previously designated spots in public places.

Past, Prejudices and 'Power Politics'

On Dec. 11, in Modi’s home state of Gujarat in western India, federal Home Minister Amit Shah reminded people how the prime minister had given the majority of Hindus a “sense of renewed pride” while laying the foundation stone of a temple dedicated to Umiya Mata (mother goddess Umiya) revered by the dominant Patidar community.

The response from the crowds was frenzied, indicating the BJP’s stranglehold over the state’s electorate. The party hasn’t lost an election in Gujarat since the mid-nineties and the next state polls are scheduled for December 2023

Modi himself was busy launching the reconstruction work of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, a project involving the restoration and beautification of 40 Hindu temples and construction of 23 new buildings with modern facilities for devotees, in the ancient city of Varanasi on the holy banks of the Ganga River that also happens to be his parliamentary constituency.

What makes this man Fail every time ?

'New India' politics: Rahul Gandhi confides in Sanjay Raut, slams Azad

Sanjay Raut is also all praise for bro-sister bonhomie as well.

New Delhi

(Nothing is permanent except change. Return of a Congress admirer - 'Sanjay' ... Is that so ?

Rahul Gandhi confesses and confides in Sena MP, Sanjay Raut. The Congress leader slams Capt Amarinder and also says Ghulam Nabi Azad has some-ulterior motives for going around in Jammu and Kashmir. Welcome to new era of alliance making! )

India is changing, so is Indian politics. 'Delhi Durbar' tales has found patrons on the busy pavements of Amchi Mumbai.

In this new era of doing political business together, Shiv Sena is not only a Congress 'ally', Sanjay Raut is a leader whom Rahul Gandhi confides in.

Rahul also directs his tirade against the likes of Amarinder Singh, a former Congressman, and

Ghulam Nabi Azad - who is still in Congress.

Trust Sanjay Raut and his column in Sena mouthpiece 'Saamna' which was once famous

for taking an anti-Congress stand, Rahul Gandhi also told the Sena MP:

"....Now Azad is holding public meetings in J&K…Yes, there might be some other reasons".

Raut, known for his proximity to Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray,

says all these in his column sharing his chit-chat and what transpired during his separate

meetings with Rahul Gandhi and also Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi recently.

The provocation for sharing something like these out of such 'talks' - those keep happening

among senior leaders between different parties - openly in the media is not understood. However,

the timing is understood as it comes within days Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has tried

to befriend Uddhav Thackeray's newfound 'political guru' Sharad Pawar.

Not long ago, Sena also took an open stance opposing Mamata's attempt to galvanize a 'Congress-mukt

Opposition'.

Within days of Mamata's "There is no UPA" shock treatment, Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamna'

had said, "keeping Congress out of national politics" would not be desirable.

Moveover the preceding paras. Sanjay Raut says something which would make best of 'family loyalists'

and the likes of Surjewalas 'jobless'.

Of all the people, Raut almost gives entire credit for withdrawal of farm laws to Rahul Gandhi, about

whom a western magazine had some years back said 'he does not know what he wants to do'.

“It was Rahul Gandhi who had said, ‘Mark my words, the government will have to take back the black

laws. But the media has conveniently forgotten what Rahul Gandhi had said so strongly…," says Sena leader.

He goes further. "This is because the media is no more independent today" -  he writes, perhaps implying

the Modi government is to be blamed on this score as well.  .

Sanjay Raut says Rahul told him that Ghulam Nabi Azad 'declined' to go as pradesh Congress chief to

J&K where he was once the Chief Minister.

The piece also has Rahul sharing his vitriolics against former Punjab CM, Capt Amarinder Singh.

Sanjay Raut is also all praise for bro-sister bonhomie.

“If she (Priyanka Gandhi) is asked about political stand on a particular issue, she replies ---

"Iss per bhaiyya se baat karni padengi,....(I’ll have to talk to my brother on this,....)".

Raut is also confident about Priyanka's confidence -- "that these (tough) days (for the Congress) will change".

PM to visit Varanasi and inaugurate Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham

New Delhi:

(Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham was conceptualized as a project to create
an "easily accessible pathway" to connect the Temple to the banks of the
River Ganga. Prime Minister Narendra Modi constantly gave inputs and insights to
improve the project and make it more accessible for pilgrims including for the disabled).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will touch base at his parliamentary constituency in Varanasi

when he visits the temple city December 13 and 14.

Mr Modi will visit Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and offer prayers, after which he will inaugurate

phase 1 of the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham.

This has been constructed at a cost of around Rs 339 crores, a PMO statement said.

"It was the vision of the Prime Minister for a long time, to facilitate the pilgrims and devotees of

Baba Vishwanath, who had to encounter congested streets and surroundings with poor upkeep,

when they practiced the age-old custom of taking dip in the holy river and collecting Gangajal

and offering it at the temple," it said.

To realise this vision, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham was conceptualized as a project to create

an "easily accessible pathway" to connect Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple to the banks of the

River Ganga.

To kickstart the work for this pious endeavour, the foundation stone of the project was laid by the Prime

Minister on March 8, 2019, the release said.

The Prime Minister also took a keen and active interest at all stages of the project.

"Regular briefings, reviews and monitoring was done by the Prime Minister himself, and he

constantly gave inputs and insights to improve the project and make it more accessible for pilgrims

, including for the disabled".

The project was designed to provide easy access for the disabled and old age people with provision of

ramps, escalators, and other modern facilities.

A total of 23 buildings will be inaugurated in the phase 1 of the project.

They will provide a variety of facilities to the pilgrims visiting Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple,

including  Yatri Suvidha Kendras, Tourist Facilitation Centre, Vedic Kendra, Mumukshu Bhavan,

Bhogshala, City Museum, Viewing Gallery, Food Court, among others, the PMO said.

The project involved purchase and acquisitions of more than 300 properties around Shri Kashi Vishwanath

Temple, it said adding, "Prime Minister’s vision to take everyone along was the principle based on which

mutual negotiations were done for these acquisitions".

In this endeavour, the rehabilitation of around 1400 shopkeepers, tenants and homeowners were ensured

"amicably".

"The testimony of the success is the fact that there is no litigation pending in any court of the country

regarding acquisitions or rehabilitation related to the development of the project".

The Prime Minister’s vision was also to ensure that all heritage structures be preserved during the

course of development of the project.

"This foresight came handy when, during the process of destruction of the old properties, more than

40 ancient temples were rediscovered. These temples have been restored and beautified, while ensuring

that there is no change in the original structure".

The scale of the project was such that the project is now spread over a massive area of about 5

lakh square feet,  whereas earlier premises was limited to just around 3000 square feet.

Despite the Covid pandemic, the work on the project has been completed as per the planned schedule.

The release further said that during the visit to Varanasi, the Prime Minister will also visit

Kaal Bhairav Temple at around 12 noon and witness Ganga Aarti while on board a Ro-Ro Vessel

at around 6 PM on Monday, December 13.

On December 14, at around 3:30 PM, Mr Modi will attend the 98th anniversary celebrations of

Sadguru Sadafaldeo Vihangam Yog Sansthan at Swarved Mahamandir in Varanasi.

During the two-day visit, Prime Minister will also participate in a unique conclave of Chief Ministers of Assam,

Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,

Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The Deputy CMs from Bihar and Nagaland are also expected to attend the same.

"The conclave will provide an opportunity to share governance related best practices and is in line

with the Prime Minister's vision of furthering 'team India' spirit," the release said.

From Dec 13 to Jan 14 (2022), every day there will be a festival in Kashi and this programme

will be telecast/shown live at 51,000 places in the country, BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh has said.
