"All committee members were unanimous that if you can take down content of the PM, then there is nothing more serious ..." ::: "Mark Zuckerberg himself has to apologize"

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says,

"The Indian government passed the IT Act of 2000, and within that Act, we granted safe harbor to the internet...

The reason behind this was that if someone communicated with someone over the internet or committed a crime, no action would be taken against the companies that provide the internet—

whether it was BSNL, MTNL, Reliance, or Airtel...

"This parliament has passed a law, and everyone agrees on it: pornography will not be allowed in India.

"Child Sexual Abuse Material is a legally heinous crime... All these are heinous crimes because this country is ultimately very sensitive towards children and women... "

"All the committee members were unanimous that if you can take down the content of the PM, then there is nothing more serious than this, and therefore, an apology will not suffice.

"Mark Zuckerberg will have to apologize. Otherwise, our committee, the entire committee, has made a unanimous recommendation that if your Safe Harbor does not remove CSAM, does not remove women's content, and does not give prominence to the government's views while promoting anti-national forces against the government,

then your Safe Harbor content will be taken down...".
