Nagaland Christian forum seeks ban on Satanic worship !! :::: Assembly set to debate it :::: 'Satanic worship' is not an organised religion and is condemned by both civil law and spiritual teaching"

The Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) has called for a ban on “satanic worship” in the state.

In a representation addressed to the NLA Speaker, the NJCF stated that the the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly is slate to deliberate on the issue of “satanic worship” on Tuesday, Sept 2.

“As you are aware, satanic worship is universally condemned across religions and cultures.

As a predominantly Christian state, Nagaland has always upheld values that reject such practices. We strongly believe that satanic worship has no place in our society,” the representation read.

Quoting Biblical authority, the forum stressed that resisting and casting out satanic influences is a spiritual responsibility of the Church, while the government’s duty is to uphold law, order, and justice.

It said while it is true that the Indian Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, the forum argued that such freedom does not extend to practices deemed harmful to public order.

'Satanic worship' is not an organised religion but a ritual practice condemned by both civil law and spiritual teaching.

“In view of Nagaland's unique cultural and religious context, we humbly request your esteemed authority to consider banning satanic worship in the state,” it added.

The NJCF further cautioned that according official attention to the subject in the Assembly might inadvertently lend it publicity or legitimacy.

“Discussions at such a high platform might draw curiosity and publicity, which could work against the intended purpose,” it stated.
