Man 'wanted' by CBI for assaulting a Kerala newspaper owner held in Delhi on return from UAE

 RED NOTICE SUBJECT WANTED FOR GREVIOUSLY INJURING A NEWSPAPER PROPRIETOR IN KOZHIKODE IN 2005 RETURNED FROM UAE 


Red Notice Subject KHAMIS OTHMAN AL HAMMADI OTHAM wanted in CB CID,  Kozhikode, Crime No. 138/CR/KKD/06 has been returned from UAE and detained in IGI Airport New Delhi. A team from Kerala police took custody of subject at IGI Airport, New Delhi yesterday evening. 


Subject is wanted for greviously assaulting with sword Mr. Shamsudheen, the proprietor of a Daily named ‘The Criminal’ in Kozhikode in 2005.  A group of three accused persons  including the subject allegedly came in a Maruti Omni Van on 15.07.2005  at KP Chandran Road, Kasaba and purposefully hit down and hacked motorcycle  pillion rider Mr. Shamsudheen, the proprietor of a Daily named ‘The Criminal’, using swords with intention to kill him. Mr. Shamsudheen was injured grievously. 


Red Notice was earlier got issued by CBI  on request of Kerala police on 17 February 2020. The Global Operations Centre of CBI coordinated closely with Kerala police and INTERPOL NCB-Abu Dhabi for geolocation of the subject. The subject was returned to India on 06-09-2024.


CBI as National Central Bureau for INTERPOL in India coordinates closely with all law enforcement agencies in India for cooperation via INTERPOL channels..
