“It is a natural process in BJP, we get different responsibilities at different times" - says Viay Rupani, who quit

“It is a natural process in our party. The party worker gets different responsibilities at different times. We do not call it a post, we call it a responsibility. Now, I will shoulder whatever responsibility the party gives me.”

Vijay Rupani's resignation comes a year before the state Assembly elections.
Interacting with media Rupani, who represents Rajkot assembly seat, said, “With my resignation, the party’s new leadership will get an opportunity. And we will all take Gujarat to new heights under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Rupani joins the club of B S Yeddyurappa and two Uttarakhand Chief Ministers who have been replaced recently.

Covid management issues and to prepare the party for December 2022 elections led to Rupani's resignation.
