Tuccu targets Eastern Flank - calls them "traitors, opportunists and gold diggers" ::: Adjectives, select phrases flourish NSCN-IM (Hebron) speech on the occasion of 11th anniversary of signing of Framework Agreement ::: uses powerful phrase - New Delhi "sabotaging peace process via policy of delayed solution"

If "Delayed Solution" is an art the - Status Quo Club in Nagaland and outside has mastered it by now.

However, Q, Tuccu, president of NSCN-IM, makes a blistering attack on the Govt of India and the "opportunists and gold diggers" for not inking of the final peace pact. On the completion of 11 years of signing of the Framework Agreement (on Aug 3, 2015); Tuccu diagnoses his own 'habit' and says - "I am not a preacher".

There are a few quoatble lines - which may only suggest that the much needed 'pragmatism' is still far off the Hebron camp. Or does it reflect some anxious moments if not nervousness.

Sample this -

"The world is watching the situation in Nagalim. The international community is well informed about the Naga issue. However, colonial-based policies of some Indian leaders are still at play. They desperately seek for an escape route to overturn the Framework Agreement."

There is more :

Tuccu says:

".... They (GoI) are consistently working to sabotage the peace process through the policy of delayed solution or managing the peace process but not going for a solution.

Lately, they have resorted to inciting its surrogate Kuki mercenary forces to fight against the Nagas."

The unwarranted 'reference' to conflicts with Kukis and making allegations against New Delhi only shows ... the hills in Manipur and perhaps in some Naga areas will not stop burning, say analysts in Delhi expressing utter disapproval of such a stance by an organisation which is in peace parleys for last 29 years.

As for the rhetoric, there is still more ... "Revolution is not an undertaking for the unruly mobs, mercenaries ....".

He also says:

"For NSCN, a large numbered member is meaningless, military might is meaningless, and the echelon of intellectuals is meaningless if the mandate of the people and the name of the Lord are not with them".

In admission of a failure that 'adversaries' have been able to get inside and backdoors - the NSCN-IM president (Hebron) says:

"Our adversaries have penetrated into the very fabric of our organisation and our societies. But the reality is that if we are determined to cling on to the truth, no force can defeat us."

Tuccu further says - "Truth cannot be erased by lies, even if a hundred lies.

"Fire cannot consume it; bombs cannot destroy it; money cannot buy it, and power cannot crush it. We must ....  keep the truth, defend the truth and live the truth, for it is the foundation of the State and the Church".

In Delhi, observers are in wilderness. One expert says: "It seems lot of work is still required. We are still dry and in an empty area with little water or life of hope.  Why is the speech silent on the Truth about Kohima and the protagonists there ?"

Certainly - under pressure from multiple angles and the Eastern Flank already having bid farewell to the ceasefire -- the BJP-NPF regime will yet again come under scanner and possible pressure from New Delhi.

The Home Ministry is keeping an eye for the time being.
