Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has received his maiden India call-up after a breakout IPL 2026 season.
On Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s selection in the Indian cricket team for the upcoming T20 series, his father Sanjeev Sooryavanshi says,
"He has done a lot of hard work. Now that the hard work is paying off and he is getting the opportunity to play for the country has been earned. My only wish now is for him to play exceptionally well for the country and achieve many victories..."
He adds,
"Every father and mother in the world works hard for their child... They wish for their child to reach great heights and succeed... I had that same wish. My child worked hard from childhood and has fulfilled our dreams... I would thank everyone (selectors), thank them from the bottom of my heart, and offer my respects for placing their trust in my child and selecting him for the BCCI team...".
He was born on March 27, 2011. The rising cricket star, who hails from Tajpur in Bihar, has made global headlines as the most valuable player (MVP) in the IPL.
The Rajasthan Royals' Vaibhav made name for himself and his team after becoming the youngest player to score an IPL century against the Gujarat Titans at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on April 28, 2025.
The left-hander reached his 100 in 35 balls to register the second-fastest century in IPL history.
